Hi Lia, I’ve watched this video several times to refresh my memory. Love the versatility of the sizes and the option to change colors. Did you make the bridal bouquet video using these roses? Thanks for so much inspiration and creativity.
Hi – these look beautiful! Would Art Glitter glue work instead of hot glue? I always end up with lots of glue strings and a bulkier flower when using hot glue.
You can try the Art Glitter glue. I think I would love it for the center bud petals, but then would switch to the hot glue for the outer petals. See what you think.
These are amazing, but I have no double sided paper at the moment. I know I can create it, but I have either heavy or your extra fine. Can I try my hand at these with just the extra fine crepe paper? I’ve made other roses from your extra fine paper, but they were the basic ones without as many petals, and would love to make these from my extra fine crepe paper that I got from your store. Let me know! These are my next ones that I’m going to do while I wait for your next member’s make! Thanks!
I think these will work with the extra-fine. Just try not to over-stretch your petals, as they are less cupped as the petals get large r. Share photos on our Crafters community when you are done!
Sure will! It took me a few tries to get one looking really nice, but wow, it worked, and I’m loving it! I love that there are alternatives to using one kind of paper. Crepe paper is just so amazingly versatile!! I can’t wait for the member make!
In the video, you made a bouquet of 12 roses. Did you make 3 of each size? I’m making a bouquet of these for someone and liked the variety you had in the video.
I have tried multiple things and am still seeing more of the foam ball than I’d like to. I checked a few times to see if I had the right size, have stretched the petals more, and have done a couple of other things. Would covering the foam ball with crepe paper, before making the hat, look okay or do you think it would take away the overall effect of the flower.
You are just amazing!! The roses are so beautiful. I see it, but i dont know if i can do it. I will have to give it a try. Thank you for the free tutorial and pdf to cut the petals. I am in awe of you and you work. Thank you again!!
Thanks for sharing your projects
Yes I would like you to make a flower bouquet
Please if you could have a tutorial on how to make an Iris flower along with an SVG ,I would be greatful
Thanks
These are BEAUTIFUL! I am continuously practicing my skills with 65# cardstock with different types of flowers and sizes. My grandmother used to make crepe paper roses in 1930’s, but I do not know the technique/style. I would love to try this as an honor to her…. : ) A bridal bouquet is an amazing idea, and I would love to see it! Thank you for the video and SVG file!
Someone else just asked that question. The heavy crepe paper will make any flower but it will not look as refined as the double-sided. You can stretch it out just a bit before you cut it and that will help make it less thick.
Lia, these are just so gorgeous! Would love a video of a bridal bouquet with crepe or frosted paper and maybe even ones with some added greenery. That would be awesome however you
do it. Thanks again for all you and your team do to bring us all such joy ! And your always so positive and inspiring us to make beautiful things. !!!!
SO INFORMATIVE! I will be making all of the flowers for my daughter’s wedding in late fall. She would like roses, queen of the night lilies, calla lilies, tulips and also mums in dark colors for her bridesmaid bouquets. I would love to see how to put a bridal bouquet together. I plan on becoming a member now that I have watched your tutorial and want to make your version of the crepe paper flowers in the above.
The issue I am struggling with is that the colors of double-sided crepe paper are not what she wants. Can I use other type of crepe paper? She is looking for dark blues, plums and burgundy. Thank you!!! So glad I found you in my Cricut Access free projects!
Hi Cheryl! So happy you did enjoy this. If you become a member you can join us for the crepe paper flower master class that starts in February. I think you will really enjoy this. We do have a lot of flower designs in plum and burgundy including one of the double-sided crepes. So happy you are here in our creative comminity!
This project does not have a video tutorial, just a photo tutorial, but there is a link in the post on using the pastels. However, you can come join us tomorrow for our Member Make live where Meagan is going to show you how to make this gorgeous painted tulip. https://liagriffith.com/2022-january-craft-collection/
Has anyone else had trouble getting their Cricut Maker to cut the petals out correctly? I was very excited to try this project, but my brand new rotary blade would only cut through in occasional spots until I upped my material to “Canvas,” and my equally new fabric mat wouldn’t hold the crepe paper (I taped down the edges as Lia recommended in her Cricut tips and tricks video, but then the cuts that did work peeled off the mat and I had to stop the machine before they jammed it). I wound up wasting an entire roll of paper trying to get the project to work! I’ll go back to cutting by hand for now, but any additional recommendations for troubleshooting the Maker would be wonderful. Regardless, thank you so much for designing such beautiful projects 🙂 I’m excited to get everything worked out!
Hi Gillian. Are you using the rotary blade? From what you are describing it almost sounds like you are trying to cut with the fine point blade. We have a video here that shows how to cut crepe paper on cutting machines. https://liagriffith.com/craft-academy/cutting-machines-for-crepe-paper/
Thank you for sharing this tutorial. The roses are absolutely beautiful!! One flower that I absolutely love is the ranunculus. I would love to learn to make them and see them added to the bridal bouquet.
We do have a few bridal bouquet videos on our site and YouTube: https://liagriffith.com/?s=bridal+bouquet+video&post_type=post
In addition, I am writing/filming a new master class for floral design that will launch this summer and cover all of things wedding.
I really struggle with the very center of this rose. I got my “hat” on, but I feel like I can still see too much of the foam ball on the other side of the hat after I’ve added the other center petals. Any tips?
Are you using a larger ball than what is suggested? If not, try stretching your crepe paper a bit more so that your first piece encircles the ball. Then start your second petal over that place where the first petal meets.
I would love a bridal master class or even just a class on bridal bouquets. I would love to see blue hydrangeas in a bridal bouquet. I have loved your other classes. They have been a great help.
I’ve always loved the roses that have posted. The David Austin Heirloom rose was gorgeous beyond compare! This blooming rose however has really done it for me. I love the template design and the construction instructions. The results are stunning. I used the vanilla/chiffon double-sided to make the roses, and am pairing them with plum colored irises to recreate my mother’s wedding bouquet for her and my fathers 50th anniversary. Thank you Lia and team. You are truly amazing!
Oh I absolutely love that you are recreating your mother’s wedding bouquet! It sounds beautiful and I hope you will share pictures with us 🙂 Thank you for your kind words, it means a lot to hear from our members 🙂
After struggling with making a rose on my own some months ago, and then watching your video I finally feel like I can make roses! They are far from perfect but but what an improvement over the one I once made and threw away. Thanks Lia and team for a wonderful tutorial!
Whew! I think I finally got a clue. Had to watch the video and few times before it finally stuck in my big old head but I think I can finish them. Still not doing well with the curling tool, so lots of practice in my future! Thanks Lia
I finished my rose, lets say that I need practice. I have a day of free time tomorrow and I know what i will be doing. You actually make it fun. That’s why I was not disappointed when my did not look like yours. Thanks
So, this one took a little longer to “click”, but once it did – wow! Thank you for once again teaching in your lovely way. Yes, the bridal bouquet gets my vote…but that means I’m going to have to replace the ones I plan to give away this weekend!
Lia & Team,
Great tutorial! I LOVE this rose! I would like to vote for a bouquet. I saw a bouquet at my dentist’s office and, in addition to other flowers, it had what I found out was Alstroemeria. Stunning little flowers! Would love to see it as a Lia Griffith offering.
Count me in for the bridal bouquets!! I am working on all my “buds” now – I really appreciate the detailed video. My buds look so much better than any I have tried to make before. I am just wondering (sorry if I missed it on the video), how many of each size did you make? I am assuming you did 3 each of 4 sizes (including the buds) – is that correct?
Thank you again for doing this Summit – we are under “Stay at Home” orders in Ontario as of today, so I am so happy to have these videos to look forward to each week.
Thank you, Lia! As a new member this was my first tutorial – what a lovely introduction to the craft. I have a question, please? Why do you use the white tacky glue instead of the hot glue?
Welcome, Jo! We are so glad you’re part of our community. We do go back and forth between hot glue and white glue depending on the flower and techniques. The white glue dries really nicely and allows for some repositioning (whereas hot glue dries pretty quick).
Great tutorial. Thank you.
A bridal bouquet tutorial would be wonderful. My sister is getting married in September and her dress has red roses on it. I would love to make her a red rose bouquet to match.
I LOVE these roses in the red double-sided crepe paper. We have photos of that on our site, but definitely use this version of the pattern and tutorial.
Thanks Lia – love your lessons. Yes, please on the bridal bouquet. All of your flowers are so, so pretty. I am a newbie at putting arrangements together, so any of your flowers for the bouquet would be awesome. Also, some greenery 🙂
Hi Lia! Really enjoyed this tutorial for the Roses! Thanks! And, I think adding hydrangeas and/or lilacs with some hypericum berries. Thanks again! Susan Manley
Thank you Lia. You always make us feel like a personal friend crafting with you! Wondering how you could add something airy, lacy to a bouquet, like a baby’s breath or Queen Ann’s lace. Probably too intricate, but then again, you are magical!
Hi Lia, thank you for this video . I was stunned when you gluing each petal . Lat time when I did , I made a lot of mistakes but now I found my mistakes . When you were gluing first petal you glued only half portion you attached it and there I made mistake. Thank you so much, next time I will do perfectly and send a picture on site.
Is there any chance of you adding yellow crepe to your shop for these roses? I’m sure there are many people making the roses who would like to add true yellow (not a goldernrod) to their bouquets. Thanks!
Bridal Bouquet would be amazing as my daughter is getting married soon and she would love one. We are in Western Australia so will have to find some artificial natives that will go with your bouquet. Another excellent tutorial. Cant wait to get started. 🙂
Love the video, can’t wait to start cutting and creating tomorrow night. The bridal bouquet video would be great! Not sure what other flowers, I guess it would depend on time of year. Any would be beautiful. Thanks for all you do for us!
My future daughter-in-law would love me to make her bridal bouquet. They postponed their wedding and I have learned so much that I now feel like I could do this for her. You have been such a wonderful teacher and really stepped it up to keep us all occupied during Covid. Thank you for all your hard work.
How about Delilah’s in the bouquet? I actually really love making the ones from October (I think).
Hi I’m Linda and am new. Look forward to seeing all of your beautiful flowers. But, I have a problem.
I came into the course and clicked on and watched the video, then tried to download the instructions and materials, but when I clicked on the link to open it, I see it says I am 33% completed and tells me to go back to the previous lesson. What am I doing wrong. I just want to download the instructions.
I’ve only been a member for a couple of weeks or so. I signed up for this and signed up for the master, and forgot to put this one in my planner so I forgot to order the materials so just thought I would watch and download everything I needed , then I can place my order as soon as I can
Hi Linda! So glad you are here! Thanks for letting us know about this issue. We just fixed it so you should be able to download the instructions and materials list now! You can also see all of the supplies you will need here: liagriffith.com/spring-summit-maker-workshops/
Beautiful! Can’t wait to make them! A bridal bouquet tutorial would be fantastic. I like the rose with the calla lily cascading. Maybe mix in a spiky flower similar to lavender or something simple like an anemone? Thanks for the video! I always learn so much from them. 😀
Hi Lia,
I loved the video. It’s so relaxing to watch and listen to you explain how to make the roses. I would love to see how to make a bouquet.
Thank you again for inspiring us so wonderfully!
Jenny
Would love a bridal bouquet tutorial with the roses. Maybe adding succulents and lavender?
I loved the tip on making all the buds first! You have taught me/us so much and I’m making flowers I never thought I could possibly make. Thank you for giving me the confidence to create beautiful works of art.
I would love to have a lesson on creating bridal bouquets! I have several bouquets to make in the future and would really appreciate learning the do’s and don’ts.
This was a great tutorial and I’m looking forward to making these roses. I loved the tip about creating all the buds first so that I can pick the ones I think are the best looking to leave as buds for the bouquet. Working in assembly-line fashion sure has some advantages!
My bridal bouquet was made of fresh roses in this lovely coral colour. I would love to recreate it out of paper roses, so yes please show us some tips. Another excellent tutorial. Thanks Lia, you are a star.
Definitely got my vote for a bridal bouquet! Loved the video – lots of close up shots are so helpful. Great tip on bulking up the stems, too – I’d never thought to use floral tape like that before!
Loved this tutorial! Beautifully done and easy to follow along with as always. (To be honest I’ve always been too intimidated to create a rose before!) Fantastic job, Lia!
A video on creating a bridal-style bouquet would be so much fun 🙂
I am so happy to hear that. I really think this version is the best one I have done so far and really easy to follow. I was soooo excited to share it with everyone!!
Would love ideas on creating a bridal bouquet with roses. Loved this tutorial, took away two new tips, gluing leaves on wire, and assembling all the buds first so best ones can be selected for final flowers. Thank you so much!

Hi Lia, I’ve watched this video several times to refresh my memory. Love the versatility of the sizes and the option to change colors. Did you make the bridal bouquet video using these roses? Thanks for so much inspiration and creativity.
Yes, I did! This is one of my favorite versions of our rose, and the video even applies to the new garden rose. It is amazingly easy to make! 🙂
Is there a photo tutorial we can download for this flower?
No, with videos being a lot of extra work, I do not include a photo tutorial as well.

I do warn people. . . it is addictive. lol

Yes, there are three of each starting with the bud.

I think that is a great solution. You can make a small circle to cover the top before you add the next piece.
can’t wait for my paper to come so I can make my own
Enjoy!
Wonderful. Would love seeing a bridal bouquet!
Coming your way!
You are just amazing!! The roses are so beautiful. I see it, but i dont know if i can do it. I will have to give it a try. Thank you for the free tutorial and pdf to cut the petals. I am in awe of you and you work. Thank you again!!
You are so welcome!
Beautiful! Yes this would be helpful to make a bouquet!
Arranging master class coming!
Thank you for this fabulous tutorial. Look forward to the wedding bouquet. Really appreciate the hints and tips. Roll on retirement.
You are welcome! Hope to see you in some of our online classes!
Thanks for sharing your projects
Yes I would like you to make a flower bouquet
Please if you could have a tutorial on how to make an Iris flower along with an SVG ,I would be greatful

You are welcome. We do have many iris flower tutorials and templates on our site.

I believe this would have been the type of paper she used. Crepe paper is a vintage material for crafting. You can see me talk all about it in this video: https://liagriffith.com/craft-academy/10-things-you-will-want-to-know-about-crepe-paper/
Thank you for the free workshop and the free SVG
You are welcome! Hope to see you again!
Wonderful video. The rose is one of my favorite flowers. To make them so realistically out of crepe paper is truly amazing! Loved this class!
So happy to hear! Enjoy your roses!
I loved this video.Hope I can watch it again.I woulf love to see the Bridal bouquet.
Great to hear. It will be available for free until Feb 14 then it is only for our members again.
I love it!!!❤️❤️😍😍😍 thank you so much!! Finally, I learned how to put together those beautiful roses, and they won’t die.❤️ Thank you, Lia.
I would love to see a video tutorial on a Bridal Bouquet.
Wonderful! We are going to have a class on that soon!
Hi Lia! I am making a Valentines day bouquet. I need pink paper and have a lot of heavy crepe paper. Would that work out?
Someone else just asked that question. The heavy crepe paper will make any flower but it will not look as refined as the double-sided. You can stretch it out just a bit before you cut it and that will help make it less thick.
I found using the thick stem wire is perfect for rolling the rose ends!
So good to have multi-uses for these things! 😉
Thank you, Lehann! We are working on our next master course that will more teach bridal bouquets.
Yes wedding arrangements!!!!!
Coming right up!
Hi!
Where might I find a video for the Pastel Painted Crepe Tulips? I have everything ready to go, but I can’t seem to locate it Please help?
This project does not have a video tutorial, just a photo tutorial, but there is a link in the post on using the pastels. However, you can come join us tomorrow for our Member Make live where Meagan is going to show you how to make this gorgeous painted tulip. https://liagriffith.com/2022-january-craft-collection/
Wedding arrangements would be awsome!.
Yes! Coming up this summer in our new master class!
Yes, I would love to have a class on making bridal bouquets.
Love your classes. I have learned so much.
I am working on a new master class for paper flower arranging right now. We should be releasing it in late spring/ early summer.
Thank you for sharing this tutorial. The roses are absolutely beautiful!! One flower that I absolutely love is the ranunculus. I would love to learn to make them and see them added to the bridal bouquet.
Hi Lydia. We have an amazing new ranunculus video that we made in a darker plum. https://liagriffith.com/crepe-paper-purple-ranunculus/
Here is another one in brighter colors. https://liagriffith.com/crepe-paper-peachy-watermelon-ranunculus/ Both are lovely.
ooh yes to the bridal bouquet tutorial!
This is coming in a new master class! Stay tuned.
Yes, Please, a bridal bouquet would be quite a lovely addition to the roses make!
We do have a few bridal bouquet videos on our site and YouTube: https://liagriffith.com/?s=bridal+bouquet+video&post_type=post
In addition, I am writing/filming a new master class for floral design that will launch this summer and cover all of things wedding.
Thank you for answering!
We’ll add this to our member request list 🙂 Thank you for your feedback!!
I’ve always loved the roses that have posted. The David Austin Heirloom rose was gorgeous beyond compare! This blooming rose however has really done it for me. Whew! I think I finally got a clue. Had to watch the video and few times before it finally stuck in my big old head but I think I can finish them. Still not doing well with the curling tool, so lots of practice in my future! Thanks Lia
You’ll get the hang of it!!
I finished my rose, lets say that I need practice. I have a day of free time tomorrow and I know what i will be doing. You actually make it fun. That’s why I was not disappointed when my did not look like yours. Thanks
I’m so glad to hear you’re not disappointed! I can’t wait to see your creation 🙂
Would love to see a bridal bouquet. Maybe with Peonies too
I would love a bridal bouquet workshop!!!
I think it might just turn into a full master class on all things bridal!
Would love to see a bridal bouquet!
Got your vote 🙂
Yes to the bouquet!
Got your vote!
Yes to the bridal bouquet!! Maybe some dahlias in there ?:)
Love it! We’ll add your vote 🙂
yes make that tutorial. I will watch….
Yes, Bridal bouquet.
So, this one took a little longer to “click”, but once it did – wow! Thank you for once again teaching in your lovely way. Yes, the bridal bouquet gets my vote…but that means I’m going to have to replace the ones I plan to give away this weekend!
So glad to hear this, Diana! We’ll add your vote for a bridal bouquet 😉
Bridal or bouquet in a vase would be wonderful!
Lia, always pleasure to follow your lessons . It seems so easy when you do it. Many thanks.
Practice, practice, practice! It’s gotten easier but I’m still improving 🙂
Lia & Team,
Great tutorial! I LOVE this rose! I would like to vote for a bouquet. I saw a bouquet at my dentist’s office and, in addition to other flowers, it had what I found out was Alstroemeria. Stunning little flowers! Would love to see it as a Lia Griffith offering.

Thanks Lia – love your lessons. Yes, please on the bridal bouquet. All of your flowers are so, so pretty. I am a newbie at putting arrangements together, so any of your flowers for the bouquet would be awesome. Also, some greenery 🙂
Thank you Jodi! Yes to greenery!
Hi Lia! Really enjoyed this tutorial for the Roses! Thanks! And, I think adding hydrangeas and/or lilacs with some hypericum berries. Thanks again! Susan Manley
I’m so glad you enjoyed it, Susan! Got your vote 🙂
Thank you Lia. You always make us feel like a personal friend crafting with you! Wondering how you could add something airy, lacy to a bouquet, like a baby’s breath or Queen Ann’s lace. Probably too intricate, but then again, you are magical!
Awwww, thank you, Linda. I am working on some ideas for the tiny little flower options.

I would LOVE to see you teach us how to do a bridal bouquet Lia. This was a great lesson!
Is there any chance of you adding yellow crepe to your shop for these roses? I’m sure there are many people making the roses who would like to add true yellow (not a goldernrod) to their bouquets. Thanks!
We’d love to add yellow to our collection one day! For now, you could use our Chiffon crepe paper with yellow Design Master spray (https://www.michaels.com/design-master-colortool-spray/M10003384.html).
Bridal Bouquet would be amazing as my daughter is getting married soon and she would love one. We are in Western Australia so will have to find some artificial natives that will go with your bouquet. Another excellent tutorial. Cant wait to get started. 🙂
Oh I’m sure your daughter would love a bouquet made by you!
Love the video, can’t wait to start cutting and creating tomorrow night. The bridal bouquet video would be great! Not sure what other flowers, I guess it would depend on time of year. Any would be beautiful. Thanks for all you do for us!
Yes to the bouquet maybe with some peonies or magnolias.
That sounds so lovely for you to make her bouquet. What a gift. Yes, those were Dahlia’s. One of my favorites. Though I seem to have many.
I would love a video on a Bouquet. What do you think of campanula as an accompanying flower?
Ooh we haven’t made one of those yet! I’ll add it to our idea list 🙂
I think they would look beautiful in a bouquet and I think some baby breath would really look nice with them.
Thanks Lia
Love the rose! How about gardenia?
Got your vote, thank you!
Beautiful! Can’t wait to make them! A bridal bouquet tutorial would be fantastic. I like the rose with the calla lily cascading. Maybe mix in a spiky flower similar to lavender or something simple like an anemone? Thanks for the video! I always learn so much from them. 😀
Thank you Melissa!!
Hi Lia,
I loved the video. It’s so relaxing to watch and listen to you explain how to make the roses. I would love to see how to make a bouquet.
Thank you again for inspiring us so wonderfully!
Jenny
Thank you Jenny!
Yes! Bridal boquet. In time for June weddings.
Would love a bridal bouquet tutorial with the roses. Maybe adding succulents and lavender?
I loved the tip on making all the buds first! You have taught me/us so much and I’m making flowers I never thought I could possibly make. Thank you for giving me the confidence to create beautiful works of art.
Thank you Nicole! I love hearing you have more confidence now to create 🙂
It does help fine-tune some of the skills for sure! Your vote for the lesson is counted. 😉
These are absolutely beautiful, thank you sooo much Lia, you’re an awesome teacher! I would love a tutorial on making a bridal bouquet please 🌹
I am seeing it in the near future!
Yes, I would love to learn to arrange a bouquet.

So happy you enjoyed it!! Your vote is in. 😉
Please can we have the bridal bouquet? Thank you
Coming right up!
Would love a bouquet tutorial. Cannot wait for the weekend to make these x
Happy to hear and please share photos on our membership Facebook page!
I loved the tip on creating all the buds first and then picking the favorites! Thank you!
Yay! I am now happy I added that tip into the video!
My bridal bouquet was made of fresh roses in this lovely coral colour. I would love to recreate it out of paper roses, so yes please show us some tips. Another excellent tutorial. Thanks Lia, you are a star.
That would be a beautiful way to remember your special day. Thank you for sharing. 🙂
Gorgeous Rose!!! Yes please make a bridal bouquet and maybe add Stephanotis?
Oh, I do love the stephanotis flower. It was in my mom’s bridal bouquet. I think we should do it!
Thanks,Lia for the detailed instructions. Great course!
Thank you, Alice!
Definitely got my vote for a bridal bouquet! Loved the video – lots of close up shots are so helpful. Great tip on bulking up the stems, too – I’d never thought to use floral tape like that before!
Thank you, Kelly! I also love this method because you can use up tape colors that you might have extras of. No waste. 😉
So good to hear those tips were helpful!
Yes, I would love to see you make a bridal bouquet with the roses. Thanks Lia for the wonderful tutorial.
Thanks! Love having your vote!
Beautiful! So excited to make these. Am I right that we are making 12 altogether – mixing the sizes?
Yes, you can make 12 but with different sizes including the buds. I made 3 buds, 3 small, 3 medium, and 3 full bloom.
Thank you!
I’d love a lesson on how to arrange a bridal bouquet 🥰
I would love to film that class!
