Lilac Love Tulip

This video is for members only.

As you make your Lilac Love Tulip, think of this as the first bloom in your Spring Garden bouquetβ€”one flower at a time, we’ll watch it all come together. When your tulip is finished, we would love to see it. Share your bloom using #MadeWithLia, or join us in our Crafters Community to share your project and see what others are making.

Access the templates and tutorial: Lilac Love Tulip

Tip: If you don’t have double-sided crepe paper on hand, you can use extra-fine crepe paper and fusible web to create your own double-sided version. It’s a simple technique that works beautifully for this flower. Watch the tutorial here.

Where can we watch the live re-plays? All I can find are the normal ones that you get with the flower tutorials.
Myself & 3 friends bought the whole bundle & plan to spend a day doing it.

I’m really disappointed with the camera work on this video. It seems that when Meagan was doing something that really needed to be seen, we only got a distant view. For example, adding the final petal to the bud and there were other areas that confused me because I couldn’t see what was being done.

I am sorry to hear this. We are running three cameras live, so sometimes things are not as predictable as we hope to know which camera to switch to. I am hoping that the photo tutorials help with the close-up details that you might need.

I’m confused; it looked like I had to register. I did last week, so do I have to re-do it each week? I filled it out, but then it said “the form has expired”.
Also, I tried to watch the video tutorial last week, but it wouldn’t play. I reached out to Emily, but I haven’t been able to revisit it. We are closing on our house, so I’m caught up in that transaction!

Be sure that you have clicked “start the series”, then when you are done with step 1 (templates), click “mark complete,” and it will take you to the next lesson, which is the tulip. I was only able to watch the video as I don’t have my supplies yet. I am really looking forward to the other flowers as well. I have made Tulips before with the crepe paper & they turned out great. I feel these tulips are much better with the way the stamens are now done and the actual shading and shaping of the petals just brings the Tulip come to life. I love it. Thanks so much for sharing your time with us to learn how to make Spring come alive in these flowers.

I just made my test flower, and it came out pretty nicely! Can’t wait to receive the bundle I ordered so I can make them again. I used white eye shadow instead of pan pastel, and it seemed to be okay. The colored pencil was just not saturating enough.

Great! You are going to have so much fun with the new crepe. Clever idea with the eye shadow. Colored pencils work, but not all have the same consistency; some are harder, others softer. I don’t have pear heavy crepe, I have heavy vanilla and was thinking I could use bright yellow green panpastel to colour? Should I panpastel before or after I stretch the heavy crepe?
I also don’t have medium red panpastel would the pearlescent red work or would the red iron oxide tint be better?

    1. Lia April 1, 2026 at 8:40pm
      @Catherine

I would add the color after stretching and do a light blend of the bright yellow-green. You can also just use the vanilla for a slightly lighter color. I think the Pearlescent Red is pretty close to the Medium Red.

What a lovely colorful flower arrangement. Due to my husband’s and my health issues, this past 18 months have been taken up with so many medical appointments that I have devoted very little time to crafts. Imagine my absolute glee when I checked my calendar for April and found every Friday was free!! I am so looking forward to attending this class. Thank you so much for offering this.

I would like to buy the bundle but I don’t need to floral wire. When I try to subtract items, they are not removed from the bundle. I keep getting a message that, since the 24 gauge wire is out of stock, I can’t load the bundle to my basket.

Yes! We are removing that from the list now until it arrives in the warehouse in a few days. It should work for you now.

Unfortunately it’s still there and not working. :(. Also, if I’m ordering to split with a friend, do we need more than one pack of 15 mm balls? Can’t wait to do this series, especially with the new lilac double sided!

Try refreshing or opening and closing the shop. It is ready to order on our side. Great idea to split with a friend!
