Crepe Paper Perfectly Pink Camellia Member Make Workshop
Winter Blush
When the weather turns crisp and we start reaching for cozy blankets and warm mugs, a big, beautiful flower can be a welcome sight. This month, we’re crafting one of our favorite winter flowers — the camellia. Delicate, petal-rich, and elegant, our Crepe Paper Perfectly Pink Camellia is the kind of flower that feels timeless and fresh all at once. And the best part? We’ll be making it together during our November Member Make! Join Lia and Meagan live on Friday, November 14th, at noon PT as we shape each petal, curl each delicate layer, and build this stunning camellia step by step.

This workshop is designed to support you as you build your skills library and gain more confidence in your work. Whether you're crafting your Crepe Paper Perfectly Pink Camellia right along with us or planning to watch and follow later — we've got your back.
Camellias are classic symbols of devotion, admiration, and heartfelt affection — perfectly fitting for the season of gratitude and giving. Their blooms often appear in late fall and winter, bringing a lovely pop of color when nature feels quiet. That makes them wonderful to display around the holidays. And yes, that pretty blush-pink palette is as dreamy as it looks.
So mark your calendar, gather your paper, and pour yourself something cozy to sip while you craft. Member Make days are all about connection — cheering each other on as our flowers bloom. We can’t wait to see your Crepe Paper Perfectly Pink Camellias take shape! So be sure to share it using #MadeWithLia so we can admire every petal-perfect bloom.

Leave a CommentThe fusible web in Felt Paper Scissors is the best! I swore off ever making DIY doublette again after many failed attempts. So glad I picked some up at the Creative Summit. Works like a dream!
Only the best for you, Christine!
Going to blow through the couple little packages I picked up at the Summit soon. Guess, I’ll need to invest in the huge roll at FPS. It will be money well spent!
Cutting the DIY double sided on the Cricut, same settings as the premade? Cotton and default pressure?
Yes, and it cuts beautifully! Your color options just quadrupled!
Please tell me the link to the fusing instructions. (ndgardens@mac.com)

How can I find the photo tutorial?
The photo tutorial is in the download folder. 🙂
Well I missed the MM today and was looking at the video tonight and saw about the petals having a new svg for a more rounded petals but when I go to download it again it doesn’t actually download anything. Am I doing something wrong? I’ve already cut them out but I would like the newer template to know how to cut them down. Thanks
Hello Charlene! I just checked the download, and it looks like it is working on my side. There are three files inside the folder. Let me know if you are still having trouble.
Thanks Lia, it looks like it was on my side. I should always remember to shut my computer down and restart before bringing it to someone else’s attempt. I’m really looking forward to making these.
Blessings,
CC
Great, it is working!
Curious to see what the fusible web is for.
I am going to guess that we will be making a double-sided blush for the petals.
Beautiful MM selection! Is the photo tutorial included in the zip file download? I didn’t receive it. Thanks!
That will be added after our live class on the 14th.
Hi Team! What is that secondary/filler leaf in the pictures?
Look at you, Donna! A keen eye!! 😉
That is a new foliage we are introducing in our new book.
Hi Team – I don’t appear to be able to access the video workshop? Is the link missing?
Help please… L
Hello Leanna, you can join us for the LIVE workshop on Friday, November 14. 🙂
Perfect thank you – I didn’t see a date anywhere… glad I haven’t missed it 🙂
See you there!
I am so excited! As an older person (very close to 80) and recently widowed (58 years), I keep busy using my hands. I do many things…crocheting, tatting, stained glass, embroidery, making jam/jellies and apple butter, and crepe paper flowers. I must say, the flowers are a favorite. This class forces me to complete 25 miniature poinsettias (50% of normal size) by the 14th so I can enjoy this class! The miniature poinsettias are for older (😳) home bound people who really don’t want big things sitting around anymore. And do not want to take care of live plants.
Thank you for sharing your creativity.
Thanks for sharing, Sandy. I love this idea of making miniature poinsettias. And what a lovely gift. 🙂
See you at the Member Make! This flower is absolutely stunning.
What a wonderful way to share your creativity! I’m sure your recipients will be thrilled with their gifts. 💜
