Felt_Pumpkin_Costumes_DIYMichaels had invited us, yes that mean you too, to #TrickYourPumpkin! That sounds like fun, right? We are tricking our pumpkins by making them think they are a round black cat, a chubby horned owl and a sly orange fox. Ha! These balls of cuteness are made from using foam pumpkins, craft felt and googly eyes all from Michaels. We started our trick project by designing these cute patterns so they could be cut from layers of colored felt. We are sharing the patterns with you and you can download them at the end of this post. Each pattern includes two pages for each animal’s pattern as well as another two prints, giving you a guide to assemble all of the pieces. This is a 12 page PDF. Once you gather all of your materials, (see list below) you can reduce or enlarge your pattern to fit you pumpkins. For our set we reduced the size of the fox to fit the smaller pumpkins. You can follow my step-by-step tutorial below to assemble these adorable pumpkin buddies. The fun thing about these printables is that if you don’t have as much time or a supply of felt, just use the paper printable for your pumpkin costume.

Now back over to you and how you can #TrickYourPumpkin!  You have a chance to win a $250 Michaels gift card and Plaid products each Friday throughout the month of October. Just submit your original pumpkin creations (as many as you like) via Instagram through October 31 using the hashtags #TrickYourPumpkin and #sweepstakes and tag @MichaelsStores. I will be watching for your entries and make sure you let me know if you win so we can share the news and your pumpkin on our Facebook page. Good luck! ~ Lia
