Surprise! We are squeezing in another free project this month for our new YouTube series. If you missed our first Craft Camp activity, we made a cute paper village. And today we are showing you how to make a dinosaur diorama!  Just download and cut out your free printable template (at the bottom of this post). Then come join us live at 11:00 a.m. PST so we can craft this project together.

To make our dinosaur diorama, I am using a combination of card stock and label paper. The labels are a great way to cover the inside and outside of the box easily. And with the extra labels, you can personalize the outside of your box exactly as you like it. I love using a box with a lid so that it can be closed up and put away for safekeeping. If you do not have label paper you can use a text weight paper and glue to cover your box.

When you are ready to print your dinosaur diorama, just follow our instructions below. I printed our template on my Canon PIXMA printer — the exact model I use is linked below. Or you can check out Canon’s line of PIXMA Crafting Printers for more options. For me, the color quality of a printable can really affect how the project looks, and I really love how accurate Canon’s color printing is. Also, one of their crafting printers is great for larger prints (like our kids’ posters). So if you find that you are doing more paper crafts at home with your kids, I highly recommend checking out their crafting printers!
