Nothing screams “summer!” like a nice cool drink on a hot day. Though we have plenty of coffee sleeves and drink cozies for the cold winter months, this is our first-ever DIY woven drink coozie tutorial! This project only requires a few materials and a little bit of time. We used a pink 4mm macrame cord, but any color will do. Pick a few colors that coordinate with your theme, and you have a fun and functional party favor for your guests to take home!

Mac-ra-mazing!

If you’re familiar with our macrame projects and have a few under your belt, this woven drink coozie will be a breeze. If this is your first time, then consider this an intermediate craft. It will take a little time to get the weaving just right, so patience is key! If you make a mistake, just untie your knot and give it another try. If you’re not quite ready, check out these more beginner-friendly macrame offerings first.

As always, we love to see your visions come to life. Share a picture of your final creation with our crafters community or on Instagram with the hashtag #MadeWithLia!

Skill level: Intermediate

Crafting tip: This weaving technique can be used over any form. We used a glass that was similar in size to a canned beverage so that it could be used as a coozie, but we think it would be so cute to weave over the lower section of a terracotta pot to dress it up a bit.
