DIY Felt Tomato Plant Tutorial
Did you see our super cute DIY felt veggie garden? We have decided to create a tomato plant that is a perfect hanger for the little red tomatoes. It helps to add a little height to the veg box and is perfect for hanging and picking those ripe felt tomatoes.

Become a MemberThe vine is made from the paper-wrapped floral wire that is really easy to bend and manipulate to your liking. We bunched ours together, then secured them between two jumbo craft sticks (the same as we used for the garden markers) with a little felt wrap at the bottom so they would not slide around in the burlap dirt.
By bending the stems at the top to create a little hook, you can hang your little red tomatoes. We then added 30 felt leaves in 4 different greens, using our hot glue gun. How cute is this? Our little models had such fun harvesting the veggies and were particularly taken with the tomato vine. Come back tomorrow for our fabric basket tutorial and Friday for the garden signs. . . then you will be all set to make your own felt veggie garden. Why am I not surprised you and your crew came up with such an adorable garden. This is such fun for small kids that live in an apartment to play garden. I love making felt pieces so will thoroughly enjoy putting this little garden together. Great project, thanks for sharing all the fantastic details.
Happy weekend
