During our Instagram Live last week, we revealed our new craft room and showed you how we organized the space using products from Stamp-n-Storage and IKEA. We also said we’d show you how to make our DIY pegboard, so here it is—as promised!

While a pegboard is really handy for hanging your craft tools (or household tools), I don’t love the look of them. As soon as we got this pegboard on the wall, I knew we needed to put our own spin on it. And since we look at this pegboard every day, I wanted it to be a source of inspiration—just like our wall quote.

Pretty Up Your Pegboard

I used “peel & stick” wallpaper to cover up the holes and turn this plain-looking pegboard into something more visually appealing. In addition to neatly hanging our new Fiskars crafting tools so they’re easily accessible, we created this “imagine” copper wire wall art to hang on our pegboard. We also hung our boho botanical paper wreath toward the top of the pegboard to give it a more festive and whimsical look. Now it’s functional and a piece of art! Since this pegboard looks like wall art, you could even consider this project a DIY home decor idea.

Follow our step-by-step photo tutorial below to learn how you can make this DIY pegboard for your craft room, office, or garage. We’ll also be sharing the steps for how to make this copper wire wall art soon! Have you transformed an everyday object into something more fabulous? We’d love to see it!
