Become a MemberWe are all going a little loopy over pineapples at the moment and had fun designing and making these foam and paper pineapple party decor to vamp up your summer events.
Using egg shaped foam balls from Floracraft® we began by compressing the larger end on our craft table to flatten the bottoms and allow them to stand upright. We then used our cutting machine to cut three metallic sheets of the little golden shapes to decorate our two pineapples. We also cut four green metallic pineapple leaves for the toppers. You can find the SVG file for both below. Starting at the bottom of the foam egg, glue the shapes on in layers, working around the foam egg as you go. The toppers are made from folding the two green pieces in half and gluing the two folded pieces together with a toothpick between. Slide the toothpick end into the top of the pineapple and you are done! Another option for the green tops on our DIY pineapples are from an assortment of air plants, also from our friends at Floracraft®, or you could use live air plants.
Throwing your own summer party? Give it a little tropical WOW with our printable Luau party invitations, our printable glitter pineapple decorations, this yummy summer cocktail recipe and our show stopping palm tree decoration (come back later this week for that!). We are also sharing cute pineapple cake toppers and a delicious pineapple upside-down cake later this week so don’t go too far! See you soon! ~ Lia

Adorable! What size foam eggs did you use?
Thanks! These foam eggs were around 5.5″ tall.
OMG Lia, this is such an amazing DIY post. I recently followed you from our main social media handles, which goes by the name of “DecorNation” and I am so happy to have done that. Your pins, insta images and everything else is just so so so good. I don’t understand how I have missed this page of yours for so long. lol. I am definitely sharing this one and gonna share more of your work. Its amazing. Loved it.
Cheers, 🙂
Thank you so much for your sweet comment, happy you found us:-)
Gosh, they look so dreamy and summery. I might do this if I entertain any friends soon!
A couple of more weeks of summer time.
So doggoned cute, you and your team are just incredible what you dream up. Loving these, would be so perfect for luau as you already know. I’d like to make some just for summery decorations.
Feels like summer goes by much too quickly with kids in school already. Kids here started on Monday and it’s 100 degrees out. When we lived in KY school started after 1st ,of August, bad enuf. No sense grumbling huh?
Thanks so much for including PDF for pineapple decoration, truly appreciate that.
Can’t believe it’s already Thursday, the weeks are flying by. Have great weekend
Wow that seems like an early school start, here the kids don’t go back until last week of August. Plenty of time for a end of summer luau:-)
Hi I am going to give a friend a 90th birthday gathering of about 40 people in the beginning of November do you have any ideas for decorating that you could share, ?? Thank you so much in advance, JoAnn Schaeffer
How fun!! I don’t have a party kit that is specifically for fall but I would suggest decorating with paper leaves and fall flowers. I have some fun templates on my site if you search for Thanksgiving and Fall https://liagriffith.com/?s=FALL&post_type=post https://liagriffith.com/craft/occasion/thanksgiving/
Wow, I love these! Now, I want to have a summer luau with all of the fun, pineapple party crafts you’ve shared!
Great excuse for a get-together with friends;-)
