Become a MemberSucculents are enjoying huge popularity at the moment and they look set to stay that way which I’m super pleased about. These paper succulent DIY wedding favors are perfectly on trend and have the added bonus of lasting a lifetime, so your guests can take home the perfect memento of your special day! This is the ideal project for your cutting machine if you have one but they can be hand cut for a more natural finish if you’d prefer. I used a variety of paper card stock from My Minds Eye including a textured card stock with polka dots, a felted card stock and a vibrant aqua wash paper. Real succulents come in such a glorious palette of soft greens, blues and purples that it can be fun to really play with colors on this project. To add a little rustic “bling” to the design we applied gold leaf to these cute little terracotta pots from which we picked up in Lowes for less than a dollar. The foam balls and moss are also inexpensive to buy making these a really affordable DIY wedding favor – hooray for that!
You’ll find the pattern at the bottom of the post, and the tutorial here.  And below the tutorial for the gold foil pots plus instructions on how to put your DIY wedding favors together. These are a lot of fun to make and look just beautiful in clusters of 3 to 5 on your celebration tables or one for each guest with their names attached. I just LOVE to see my designs out there in the world, so if you make these favors (or any of my other designs!) for your big day, be sure to snap a picture and tag me on Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #liagriffth. Enjoy! ~ Lia

LOOKING FOR INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO MAKE FRINGED FLOWER CENTERS ON CRICUT. CAN YOU HELP?
You can browse our paper flowers and see if there’s a center that would work for you? https://liagriffith.com/craft/all-paper-flowers/metallic-paper-flowers/
Is there another version of these heart tags avail for download. I’m so impressed in what I’ve seen on your site so far..So much talent ?
Thanks so much! This is the only heart tag we have available, for now 🙂
I am OBSESSED with your site. One thing I’d love to see is some wreath or garland templates using bay leaves. I’m surprised it’s something you haven’t tackled yet. Is there any reason we haven’t seen a project yet?
That is a great idea, we will definitely add it to our list. Thank you:-)
Have you covered the entire exterior of the pots with mode podge, or just brushing them here & there? And do you let the glue dry before putting on the gold leaf or do it when the glue is still wet?
We just brushed it here and there and added the leaf when wet. Once dry you can brush off the excess.
Hi Lia!
Your works are great! I’m very glad that I found this site!
Please, check these links (for succulent templates). I click on them over and over…and nothing. It’s just a page returns back to the top. I have problems only with these links. Others on the site work perfectly.
Thank you!
Thank you so much for letting me know!! I updated the links and it should be working now 🙂
Hi Lia,
Do you have the svg for the heart thanks?
Thanks,
Dao
Coming up this week! (because you asked). 😉
Lia, what are the flowers in the center of the table….roses and? Love:)
It is a gardenia https://liagriffith.com/diy-paper-gardenia/ xx
Hi Lia! I was planning to make these for my baby shower in May and love the textured paper you used! However, when I go to the mind’s eye website, it doesn’t look like there is an option to purchase paper? Or is my prego-brain kicking in and maybe I am totally overlooking something? 😉

I actually don’t know, I can promise you that it isn’t your prego-brain because I couldn’t figure it out either. And I am not pregnant;-) Congratulations by the way! There is a contact option, I would recommend contacting them.
