This project is one of the simplest handmade birthday cards you’ll ever create. It requires only two steps: cut and stitch! While yes, a cutting machine is recommended for the cleanest cuts, you can absolutely go for it by hand if you prefer. However, we suggest sturdy cardstock paper for your base as it will hold up better to stitching. Additionally, it will keep your Embroidered Birthday Cards looking fresh for years to come.
Each card measures 5" x 7" and features either a bright birthday banner surrounded by colorful sprinkles, or an adorable three-tiered birthday cake. The stitched details give the cards a handcrafted touch, while the process itself feels wonderfully relaxing and therapeutic. Honestly, I found stitching these cards to be such a simple and satisfying way to spend an afternoon.
Once you’ve finished your Embroidered Birthday Cards, fill them in with a birthday wish for someone special, or make a few to add to your handmade card stash. However you use them, this project offers an easy way for you to share a little extra love on someone’s special day. We can't wait to see how your creativity shines! Share your finished cards with us in our crafters’ community or tag your photos on Instagram with #MadeWithLia so we can celebrate with you!
