With that in mind, we’ve designed a project that’s sure to get your crafty wheels turning. These Embroidered Heart Boxes are cute, sassy, and all things fun! Designed to look like traditional candy conversation hearts, we know they’ll be just as fun to give as they are to receive this Valentine’s Day.Â

This project is right in that sweet crafting spot between beginner and intermediate. So, if you’re a newbie, this should be a fun challenge. If you’re a bit longer in the crafting tooth, then this project will be a breeze. No matter where you land, our video tutorial will make it easier for you to whip these Embroidered Heart Boxes together in no time!
For this project, we’ve given you two sweeter-than-a-box-of-chocolate designs to create. One features a sassy embroidered “Hey Girl,” while the other showcases a bashful little face with closed eyes and rosy pink cheeks. To keep your embroidery game neat and tidy, we recommend using a product like Sulky Stick n Stitch, but it’s totally up to you.
Stiches used: Blanket, whip, satin, and backstitch.
We chose our felt colors in English Rose and Blush to mimic the bubblegum nostalgia of candy conversation hearts. However, I do seem to recall an array of pretty pastels in that little box every Valentine’s Day, so feel free to shake things up here.
The sky’s the limit when it comes to the gifting potential of your Embroidered Heart Box. Fill them with candy or sweet notes before handing them to your kiddos. Or, fill with some DIY Valentine’s Day goodies before gifting them to your bestie for Galentine’s Day. With a craft this cute, you really can’t go wrong!
Before you wrap them up and hand them out, remember to share your Embroidered Heart Box masterpiece in our fabulous crafter’s community, or flaunt it on Instagram with the hashtag #MadeWithLia. Here’s wishing you a Valentine’s Day filled with love, laughter, and a whole lot of creativity!
