We love Emily’s embroidery projects featuring bold seasonal flowers like this springtime embroidered felt tulip patch. Now that summer has arrived, it’s time to embrace the vibrant colors and fun designs of the season. This adorable embroidered strawberry plant applique does exactly that. We chose to iron our patch onto this super cute cotton denim tote bag, but feel free to put it on anything you want! I can imagine it on the back of my denim jacket.

Strawberry Fields Forever

Emily designed this Evergreen felt patch with embroidered strawberries, flowers, buds, and leaves for a wildly natural look. Also, using slightly more freehand embroidery techniques to create organic fills gives the patch a vintage feel. If you really want to rock the retro vibes, try ironing this strawberry applique onto a pair of old jeans for a fun summer look!

This project requires some embroidery savvy, so it’s more appropriate for our intermediate crafters. However, if you’re a beginner looking to challenge yourself, take a look at our Embroidery 101 course for some pointers and tips before you get started. This is such a great way to learn different stitches so you can jump into more complex projects with ease.

We’d love to see where this sweet strawberry patch winds up, so be sure to share your creation on our crafters community page. You can also share on our Instagram page with the hashtag #MadeWithLia.
