Felt Bagel Sandwiches
Here for the Schmear
After the popularity of our Felt Burger and Felt Picnic Sandwich, we’ve been excited to return to the Lia Griffith craft kitchen to whip up more tasty treats for our felt food pantry. We’ve been craving something soft, filling, and super adorable — so we’re thrilled to introduce these Felt Bagel Sandwiches for your next culinary craft adventure. This beginner-friendly project is as much fun to make as it is to play with and a wonderful addition to your handmade toy collection.

Designed with mostly flat components and some basic embroidery, this project is approachable enough for new felt crafters while challenging enough for more experienced makers. Our Felt Bagel Sandwiches are inspired by everything bagels — complete with all the toppings — and the fillings are where the fun really begins. From cream cheese and eggs to cheese slices, bacon, and avocado, every layer adds flair, fun, and invites hands-on play.
We especially love interactive projects like this one, where you can mix, match, stack, and rearrange the pieces again and again. Because the components are mostly flat, assembly is straightforward and stress-free, making this a great project for relaxed crafting sessions or play-focused makes. It’s so easy to imagine little hands building the “perfect order” or running their own cozy café right at home.
Overall, these Felt Bagel Sandwiches are a wonderful addition to a play cupboard already bursting at the seams with fun. For example, you could pair it with our Felt Play Café setup, Felt Waffles, or Felt Artisan Breads to create a full menu of handmade favorites. Together, these projects encourage open-ended play, storytelling, and creativity — perfect for long winter afternoons spent indoors.
When your Felt Bagel Sandwich is complete, we’d love to see what else is on your menu. So, remember to share your finished project using #MadeWithLia, and be sure to upload photos to our crafters’ community. Bon appetite, and happy crafting!
