Though cutting your felt pieces by hand is perfectly fine, we recommend a cutting machine to keep things easy-breezy. Also, if you need to brush up on your embroidery skills before you get started — that’s A-okay! Check out our Embroidery 101 skills course. It will have you stitching with precision in no time.
We designed our banner with spring flowers in mind, so it features a soft color palette just right for the season. Of course, crafting is all about personalization, and this project is no exception. Whether you want to stick with the pastels or go bold with vibrant hues, the choice is yours!
To keep our embroidery nice and neat, we used Sulky Stick N Stitch for our embroidered details. Additionally, a brush marker in Apricot helped us give our flower friend some rosy cheeks. And lastly, a wooden dowel finished off the look perfectly.
Whether you’re acting as a crafting mentor to the little makers in your life, or crafting this project as a gift — this charming Felt Flower Banner is not only a feast for the eyes, but a delightful acknowledgement of the creativity that blooms within you.
We’re so excited to see the Felt Flower Banners you and your littles create this month! Remember, crafting is all about expressing your unique style, so let your creativity bloom as freely as your garden will in the coming months.
