This Felt Hammerhead Shark comes together easily, especially when you have the right tools. Trace and trim your pieces by hand using our PDF template. Hammerhead sharks are such fascinating creatures. Despite their fearsome appearance, they’re surprisingly gentle and generally pose no threat to humans. Their distinctive, hammer-shaped heads help them pin down prey, like stingrays, and give them a panoramic view of the ocean around them. During the day, they often swim in schools, flowing through warm coastal waters, but by night, these gentle giants hunt alone. Their unique shape and quiet power make them a perfect source of design inspiration for this month’s flow-focused collection.

For this fearsome Felt Hammerhead Shark, we chose our wool-blend felt in Cloudy Day and White for a soft, heathered look. Additionally, for some subtle contrast and a tidy finish, we paired our felt with Pewter Grey, Dark Pewter Grey, and Pear Grey as well. Once your pieces have been cut, pinned, and embroidered, fill them with our Stuffy Puff using a chopstick or other stuffing tool to achieve that plush, stuffed feel. Lastly, add 5mm craft safety eyes right on the sides of his wide-set face to give your hammerhead shark his signature 360-degree field of view.

When finished, your Felt Hammerhead Shark is ready to bring some marine magic to your display shelf or playroom. We can’t wait to see how your creativity flows, so remember to tag us on social media with #MadeWithLia. Or, check into our crafters’ community.
