If you're a beginner looking for a fun weekend project, then you are in luck! While this Felt Red Clover Wreath is simple to put together, cutting and wiring each piece will take a little time, so get comfy. We recommend using a cutting machine to speed up the process—especially for those tiny, delicate clover petals that help fill out the wreath. However, if you don't have one, no problem! You can still make this wreath by hand; we promise it'll be just as lovely!
Red clover packs a lot into a tiny package. These pretty little blooms are celebrated worldwide, especially in Asian culture, where it's believed to bring luck, prosperity, and protection. Red clover is also considered a gardener's best friend, known for its ability to enrich the soil and attract pollinators. It's also a symbol of happiness and a shield against negative energy, making it the perfect addition to your home, especially during the vibrant festivities of Chinese New Year.
What makes this wreath extra special are the small but mighty details. First, we've carefully wired each clover leaf and flower, which lets you adjust their position and gives them a natural, lifelike feel. We've chosen a 7 " wooden embroidery hoop as the base, giving the wreath a sturdy, elegant frame that lets the clover flowers and leaves shine. As for your Red Clover Wreath's colorful petals, a little colored pencil adds a soft, sun-kissed glow to each one.
Once your Red Clover Wreath is ready to hang, remember to spray a fixative to lock in all that gorgeous color and preserve all your hard work. After that, the only thing left is to show her off! Post on Instagram with the hashtag #MadeWithLia, or upload and share in our crafters' community.
