Since this month’s theme is all about creating your own magic, we decided that our free Craft Camp project would be a set of felt fairy wands! This DIY craft for kids is a fun accessory for pretend play and a great addition to their dress-up box.
Wand-erfully fun
We love combining indoor and outdoor elements when it comes to kids’ crafts, like when we made this DIY scavenger hunt. This way you can encourage your little one to explore the outdoors while also getting them to think about how they can put together what they find to create a fun activity. For these felt star fairy wands, all you need are a few bits of scrap felt and a twig you find in nature.
Another reason we love this idea is that you can easily add your own flair and personalize your felt star fairy wands. For example, you can glue on a rhinestone, add a bit of glitter, or attach a few extra stars onto the stems of the wand. This also helps foster creativity and independent play!
