Many of the projects on our site start as things that we simply want to create for our own lives or for each other. Our talented graphic designer Lindsay created this art print to hang in our studio, and I thought it would be brilliant to share here as a nice freebie. To be very honest, we also wanted an excuse to try out our new laminating machine’s foiling abilities. I have to say – a pretty fruitful experiment! Here is our foiled inspirational wall art reminding you to keep striving for what you love. It’s such a simple sentiment, but it really can feel difficult to make sure you’re doing what is best for you!
There are two versions of the inspirational wall art in our download, a black version and a faux copper version. Choose your color and print onto 8.5 x 11 white cardstock. The print is designed for an 8 x 10 size to easily pair with a standard frame, but you can trim it to any size you would like. I also encourage you to customize the print with your own watercolor details, illustrations, stamps…whatever inspires you! We decided to foil ours. Did you know laminators also double as foiling machines? If you want to try this out for yourself, know that it will only work if you print the quote with a laser printer (because the foil fuses with the toner). After printing, we placed a copper foil sheet on top of the cardstock covering all areas with black ink, and then sent it through the laminator. That’s it!
If you are having any trouble with this foiling process, I would recommend looking up a short video tutorial on YouTube. I also added links to the exact laminator and foil sheets that we used for our art print! If you love hanging inspirational wall art in your work or living spaces, browse through all of our inspirational quote art prints, or take a look at our DIY home decor section.
