Do you have a farmers market nearby? We are lucky to have a lot of great farmers’ markets here in Portland. So naturally, we had to create our own farmers market tote bag!

Farmers’ markets are a wonderful way to support local food growers and producers. Eating locally also helps to minimize packaging waste and energy. Since one of the things we’re passionate about is sustainability, we’re always trying to find ways to reduce, reuse, and upcycle. So today we are showing you how to make your own reusable farmers market tote bag. And if you don’t frequent the farmers market, you can always use this tote bag for trips to the grocery store.

Eat Fresh

Since farmers’ markets are a simple way to find fresh foods that are in season, we designed our farmers market tote bag with this in mind. When you’re ready to craft your tote bag, just gather the tools and materials below. Then download our iron-on design at the end of this post.

If you have a cutting machine, you can use our SVG file. We do recommend using a cutting machine for this DIY craft since the design is very detailed. But if you want to cut this by hand, we have included a PDF template for you.

We went with a teal iron-on vinyl and a white tote bag, but you can always use whatever colors you like best. Once you have the pattern cut and everything assembled, just follow the instructions on the iron-on packaging. And if you have any questions, just let us know!
