String of Hearts!
Make some easy Valentine’s Day decorations for your party this year with this simple garland. All you will need is a stack of paper hearts that you can create with a heart punch, cut with scissors or on your cutting machine. Once trimmed, arrange in sets of varying colors and sew with a wide stitch using your sewing machine. So easy to do and you can follow my steps below in the tutorial.
Tips & Tricks
Use glitter card stock to add a little shimmer to your paper heart garland. We also used white, bright red and hot pink card. Using a cutting machine to make this garland is definitely the easiest and quickest, but you can purchase heart shapes punches in stores if you don’t have a cutting machine. Stack the paper hearts in sets of two contrasting colors and push them through your sewing machine to stitch together. If you don’t have a sewing machine, you can glue these hearts to a string or bakers twine to achieve the same result – sandwich the twine in between the paper hearts!

Hi! Some idea how to do this without sewing? i don’t have a machine. and i really want to do this!
(sorry if my english is bad)
Thanks! <3!
I would say that you can probably achieve the same look just by gluing the string on to the hearts with a hot glue gun! Best of luck!!
Thanks! i’m here cutting all the hearts π
Wonderful!!
Hey Lia. So wanting to try the heart garland, but it only gives you a tiny heart on the svg file. Please advise me as to how I can do these on the svg file.
Thanking you in advance,
Allison
Hi Allison! If you are wanting to resize the heart, you can do so in your Cricut Design Space. I would see if there are any good YouTube videos explaining how to do this, or try contacting Cricut’s customer support to see if they can give you a nice step-by-step guide π
Thanks.
Very nice shape of the hearts!)

Hi Lia!
These are beautiful, as always. Where do you buy the glitter paper from? I cannot find glitter paper that’s double sided. Thanks!
It is not double sided, the back is white.
HI, Lia! This garland joins two of my favorite things: paper and sewing. Sure I’m going to try it!
Thanks a lot!
Yay! My two favorite things too;-)
Thanks a lot Lia…..!!

It is there now. . . SORRY. π

Lia, I don’t see the tutorial and the pdf template???
You always keep me in line. π I must have gotten distracted when I was finishing this post. They are there now. Thanks for nudging. π
Hi. I love reading all your posts whilst living in Jordan. Unfortunately a lack of crafting stores makes getting supplies very difficult but I am storing the ideas away & still love looking at your amazing projects.
This garland is something I can do with my limited supplies but the tutorial & template that you refer to “as below” seems to be missing. Please help.
This really can be made from any paper, even magazine pages or book pages. Very easy to make. I have fixed the missing parts too. π
