Become a MemberToday, we are sharing our adorable ice cream themed iron-on designs. These images can be cut out of iron-on sheets with your cutting machine then pressed onto t-shirts, aprons or tote bags. If you haven’t used iron-on before, I will warn you now, it’s a bit addictive.
The material can be purchased easily from craft suppliers like Michaels, Amazon or Cricut.com in a range of different colors. Our ice cream designs use four different colors of the Cricut brand iron-on in glitter gold, glitter pink, pink and teal. Of course, you could choose any color you like and mix and match according to your style.
If you have a cutting machine, download the SVG file, load your machine with the iron-on sheets one at a time and allow it to cut the patterns for you. Remember that your designs will be cutting in reverse to make them read right. If you don’t have a cutting machine, download the PDF of templates, print it onto regular printer paper then use those templates to cut the pattern into the iron-on sheet with a craft knife. I will be honest, I have never hand cut my iron-on but I know some of you have.
Once you have the pattern cut, peel back the back layer of plastic from the iron-on sheet, position it into place on the t-shirt, bag or apron. Press with a hot iron until the back layer of plastic begins to crinkle away. This can take anything from 30-60 seconds. Peel away the plastic top layer then press the design once again with cotton fabric on top to keep the plastic material from melting onto the iron. That’s it! You can wash your iron-on designs in cold water but hang them to dry as you do not want the design to reheat and peel away.
If you love ice cream as much as we do then you may want to host a summer Ice Cream Social. Or maybe you want to print some ice cream themed coloring books for the kiddos in your life. We also have adorable mini ice cream note cards and envelopes and a set of gift tags for upcoming birthdays. Check back over the weekend for more ice cream themed projects. Enjoy! ~ Lia

These are so incredible, love, love them. Can hardly wait to print them out on something. Make bbq apron for son in law and hubs/maybe even one for oldest son in San Diego. Not sure he’d use apron but maybe for his old Mom he would. He’s quite a big fella so need to find big apron.
Thanks so much for providing iron on for PDF, this is wonderful. Maybe I’ll just make my own aprons for them out of paint tarp. Cutting these out will be fun, just takes some careful snipping around the images, would sure be worth the effort. Sounds like you’re really enjoying your summer, have great weekend Lia and relax.
Love the idea of using paint tarp to make your own aprons.
