Become a MemberLast month we were asked by Hayneedle to create a kids bedroom using furniture and accessories from their online store. We had a blast making a camping themed bedroom for Anna’s son Lucas and today I am sharing one of the many DIY Projects that we made for his special bedroom. Inspired by the wooden signage found around campsites, these camping signs are so simple to make yet make a huge impact as a piece of wall art. They are made using 12 x 12 inch cork tiles, wood slice and our own vinyl designs. You can also use the camping design to decorate a notebook or binder for a personalized field journal. You can find the SVG cut file below if you have a cutting machine. If not, you will also find two PDFs below which contains all the templates you need. Download the PDF to your computer and print onto printer paper then cut out the templates with scissors. Lay the cut templates onto the wrong side of a sheet of adhesive vinyl, draw around them and cut the vinyl with scissors or a craft knife. Remove the extra vinyl and use a transfer sheet to keep all the pieces in place. Peel off the backing and stick into place on the cork tiles or wood slice. Rub down firmly and peel off the transfer sheet to finish. Check back over the coming days for more of our DIY Projects from our camping themed children’s bedroom. And pop over to this post to see a photograph of the completed look. Enjoy! ~ Lia

I wanted to do this exact design but do “Camp Jonathan” for a kids room. Is there a way to purchase that or edit it in my own cricut?
If you have a membership to our site, you can download the .SVG file and upload it to Design Space. From there you can use one of their typefaces to add the text you want onto the blank banner and using the attach option. If you’re unsure of how to do that, I suggest checking out the Design Space FAQ on Cricut’s website. It is very helpful for a new Cricut owner!
I love these signs and would love to use them with my Girl Scout troop. What is the font you used?
It is a custom font:-)
Any chance of doing ABC print in a different color background? Like pink or mint?
Next time:-)
Lia I LOVE this camping printable set!! I was wondering if you would offer an editable version? I was thinking it would be so sweet to use our Girl Scout troop number or the girls name on the design then maybe make them t-shirts. I really really love it! Please let me know if that is something you would consider. Thank you!!!
What a cute idea! I will add it to our list:-)
Yes, please! Even one with an updated year to 2016. I would love to make this for my sis-in-law’s baby shower in 2 weeks!
Doggone it makes me wish we had little ones around to make this for. So darned cute and inventive for any boys room. Even our grandsons are too old for this. Bet those little boys are enjoying their new very special room, how fun for them. All the kids in their neighborhood will want to visit their camp. Great job.
Happy week
🙂 The boys are really enjoying their new room! So fun to watch them play in there.
I love all of your designs, but this is so cute. My favorite is the little campfire. :] Good work.
I think that is my favorite too, trust me it was hard to pick a favorite:-)
