Layered Watercolor Lily of the Vally Card
A Gift of Layers & Love
Let's make a layered watercolor Lily of the Valley card! Inspired by a beautiful birthday card my daughter, Emily, made for me, she has put together a full tutorial, complete with cut files and even a printable coloring page, so you can create and share this little piece of handmade beauty. Side note– Lily of the Valley is also the May birthflower.

Unleash Your Inner Artist: Two Ways to Create!
We’ve designed this project with everyone in mind! Whether you’re eager to try your hand at layered watercolor painting or prefer a more relaxing approach, we’ve got you covered:
- The Layered Watercolor Card: Follow our step-by-step photo tutorial (coming right up!) and use the provided cut files to create your own stunning dimensional card. Painting each delicate element and layering them brings this design to life in such a captivating way.
- The Watercolor Coloring Page: For a simpler and equally beautiful option, we’re also including a printable PDF of the Lily of the Valley design. Simply print it onto your favorite watercolor paper and let your creativity flow with your watercolors! This is a wonderful way to enjoy the beauty of the design without the cutting and layering.
Imagine the delight of a friend receiving this beautiful handmade Lily of the Valley card! Whether you choose the layered watercolor version or the colored design, it’s a thoughtful and unique way to show you care. This project is perfect for a springtime birthday, a sweet thank you, or just a little note to brighten someone’s day.

This is so wonderful for Mother’s Day! I tried to make it today but I’m getting an issue with the left hand flower stem svg. The flower stems are overlaping the larger stem in the svg in a way that is not matching the pdf. I tried to upload to Design Space a couple of times and received the same outcome each time. Thank you for your help!
Yes, we noticed that Design Space is doing some wonky things. We will test run it again and see if we can make a workaround.
I fixed the file! Go ahead and redownload it. Happy crafting!
Thank you so much! Now is working beautifully. Working on my cards tonight!
Wonderful!
Could you please do a demo of making this beautiful card? Even if it’s short! Love this. Lily of the Valley was one of my Grandma’s favorite flowers. She had lots growing. I think they bloomed in late spring or early summer. I tried to grow them, but failed. Fond memories, and scents.
Yes! We are editing this video today. 🙂
