Below in the download area are the printables you can use to prepare for the class:
PRINTABLE BINDER COVER
In this workshop, I have set up a 1″ ring binder with a clear cover for you to slide in the class printed cover and spine. This will give you a place to keep all your workbook pages for this class. You will find a PDF of a binder cover that includes a second page with two spine-size options. My binder has a plastic cover where I simply slid the printed cover into the pocket, then trimmed my spine piece to fit the smaller pocket. I found these work best on card stock paper.
FLOWER TEMPLATE ENVELOPE LABELS
This PDF is one sheet you can print onto a full sheet of label paper, then trim and place onto envelopes to store your templates and crepe pieces as we create our flowers in this course. These are very helpful for keeping all of your flower pieces and templates in one place.
CREPE PAPER SWATCH SHEET
Using up the extra space on the spine page, I have added a few templates for you to use for your crepe paper swatch sheets. When I started making crepe paper flowers, one of the first things I did was create a swatch sheet to organize my crepe paper colors and types. It is a great reference to have on hand. You will find a 3-page PDF that includes the Lia Griffith extra-fine, heavy, and double-sided crepe paper where you can cut and glue your swatches onto the labeled sheet and keep them in your binder. I also like to print these on cardstock paper and either put them into the binder or use a clipboard.
CREPE PAPER PACK ORGANIZATION LABELS
If you like to keep all of your crepes organized in single-sleeve storage bags, these labels will mark each bag with the color of the crepe, keeping things in order. Print them onto label paper and use the lines to trim. Peel and place onto the top of your bag.
ANATOMY OF THE FLOWER
Before we begin making flowers from crepe paper, you can learn the names of each part of the flower. Bonus homework, pull out your colored pencils and do some adult coloring. 😉

Where are the swatch sheets for the Posca Markers,Karin Brushmaker Pro and colored pencils?
You can find them all in the shop as a free download. Here is a link: https://feltpaperscissors.com/product-category/color/
Hi Lia, I would like to thank you for the great tips and suggestions from the first three of the “getting ready” videos. I’ve incorporated some of the tips/ suggestions into projects I was working on and what a difference it has made. The little clips to hold paper while cutting, the larger clamp for fringing, the organization suggestions to make life easier. Those little details added up to make things just so much smoother and accurate. I can’t wait to see what other ideas you will share with us. Thank you for all the time and dedication you put into sharing your knowledge and creativity.
Awww! Thank you for sharing, Rebecca. That makes me so happy that we can make your crafting just a bit more streamlined! 🙂 Looking forward to seeing your beautiful flowers!
I notice you haven’t posted instructions as you have in the past. I have created binders complete with instructions in the past so I can refer to them. What I also liked about this was a note section on the right hand side. Perhaps I am not finding it. Thank you!
Hi Pilar, each lesson will come with the workbook sheets so you can print them and put them into your binder. These sheets have the area to take notes as well.
I did not redo the section on crepe paper swatches as I have completed Volume I.
Perfect! You are set and ready. 🙂
Hello Lia! I’m trying to watch the Get Ready: Organization Printables + video but it tells me to please go back and complete the previous lesson. I’ve gone back twice and watched. Is this a glitch that you know of?
Silly me! Please ignore this question. I didn’t realize we had to check when finished at the end! Sorry to waste your time! I can’t wait to start making some more flowers! Your projects make me happy!!!!
Oh good! You found it before I replied. YAY!!
If there is a few seconds left on the video you will need to click the button at the end of each lesson that says “Mark Complete”. That will move you forward. 🙂
Lia and crew, did I see somewhere that you had a print then cut version of the crepe paper labels? If so, where can I download them? Thank you!
No, I did not add a print then cut version of the labels, only for the cardstock templates.
Is the label for eucalyptus missing? If so can a file for that be added?
Yes, it was not part of the main section, so I forgot all about it. 😉 I will be adding it.
I have an organization tip for the pin in the tip in the glue bottle if anyone is interested. If you glue a strip of magnet to your glue bottle you can attach the pin while you use the glue. The pins they use in the bottles are a bummer to lose because they don’t rust and turn your glue rusty. If you need to replace one it’s a hassle.
That is BRILLIANT!! I am going to get some magnet strips right now. 😉
Hi! I took the first Master Class and am switching my swatches over to this one. I had added a couple from old packets of Extra Fine that are Cranberry & Sangria. Are these named something different now or are they no longer available? Want to get my swatches right!
Hello Wendy. The Cranberry is the same color but now called Ruby, and Sangria is Merlot. Same crepe, new name. The old names were changed 6 years ago when we discontinued the 20 inch crepe. Hope that helps.
Thank you so much for the storage labels and the lesson on making double sided crepe. I have been ironing, and organizing my extra fine that I have accumulated (a lot!), and now I know how to make it into my favorite-Double Sided! Feeling January organization conquer! (You were out of stock on the bags, so I used giant sized brown lunch bags )
I seem to have and older cypress and a newer cypress. The older one is more yellow, looks more than a dye lot change. Did cypress change names?
That sounds like fun! I am in an organizational mood as well. 🙂 With our long sleeve crepe, which we have on clearance, the Juniper paper is called Cypress. All of the 10-inch sleeves are named correctly. If that is not the case with your crepe, I would say since this paper is handmade, sometimes there will be a variation in the color. I hope that helps.
Thank you. That is the difference. This was cypress in a long sleeve that wasn’t as yellow green. I think it will have to be my cypress for the class. It’s a pretty green even tho different.
I love having a variety of greens! 🙂
Hi Lia and Team! I am very new at this. Learning a lot. A couple of questions if I may. Why did we make heavier crepe paper instead of using paper that was heavier than extra-fine; other than the obvious – color.
Is there a setting to use when printing out the template pieces for print then cut? I printed on my Canon Pixma and cut the pieces with my Cricut. I followed your video for paper placement on the mat. None of the wording fell within the template pieces. I took the file apart and moved the pieces to where they aligned with the wording (after many sheets of cardstock LOL).
Still cutting out pieces. I may have to buy another pair of needle scissors. Think mine are dull from many many years of use hehe. I am learning so much. I can’t express what this class is giving me. I know my hubby misses me HAHA. Thanks.
Welcome, Frances!
• Making your own double-sided is a technique we love to be able to have, yes, other colors. In this master class I am teaching all of our core techniques, and this is one of them.
• I am guessing that it did an annoying auto-resize for your print when you printed. It is very important that you make sure it prints at 100% or full size rather than “fit page”. I know they fit together when this is done. 😉
• If you are thinking of a new pair of detail scissors, I can not recommend the Kai version that we sell in our shop. They are the BEST!
And… invite the hubby to join you. 😉
You are awesome! Thanks for the information. I will look into my printer settings for future print/cut templates. I am so excited for this that I don’t want to go to work during the day. How crazy is that? I have been bringing my tray and template packets to the LR and cutting while being with hubby. It placates him LOL. I am sure I will have more questions. Thanks again.
I love it! lol.
I love organization- thanks for the extra ideas! Fabulous addition to the master class. So wonderful!
So happy you liked it. More of that in 2023!
Very very excited to take the class! Loved the first one – can’t wait for more professional techniques to use in making my flowers. Do you know if you will be restocking the make-up style brushes in the shop again soon? I wasn’t able to get a set before they sold out and would love to try them out. Thanks!
Hi Julia! We are excited you are here! I know delivery of the brushes came to the warehouse just before Christmas, so they should be back in stock next week. I will ask Val to send out an email!
Brushes are back in stock!
I love the organization ideas. Since I am new to this process, I am investing a fair penny in the tools. I am grateful you share with us how to take care of our items. This class will be a great way to spend those cold days in January.
Thank you! This was a fun video to make. I always encourage you use what you have or can afford. The great thing about many of these tools is that we use them for so many other types of projects.
I can’t seem to locate the template for the little examples we use to cut out our paper and put it on the crepe paper swatch sheet. Help? I looked for my old templates of each kind, but they were so beat up they we no longer squares and rectangles. Help? It’s probably here and I’m just missing it.
It looks like you found them! Yay. Sometimes it is hard to find things in a new format.
Labels didn’t print right.
It would be nice if they were set up as a print and cut for Cricut.
That is an idea for future. 😉
I LOVE that you added how you get organized. I actually enjoy my organized space as much as I love making! I collect thrift store tea cups as containers for clips and bits. Can’t wait to start class!
Birds of a feather! I love it. 😉
I’m having a difficult time finding the acrylic craft paints and Posca markers locally as you’re sold out online. Can you provide substitute colors/brands? I don’t trust using my computer to color match. Also, when/if sold out items are back in stock, could you post an update in our mighty network community? TYIA
We sold out so quickly and are working to get these back in stock in the next week or two.
Is there any other place I could get the clear crepe storage bags? They all just went out of stock in your shop and I don’t know where else I could get them.
We will have them back in stock later this week!
I am so excited for the second volume of the crepe paper master class. I really enjoyed the first volume of the course and still display my final arrangement in the entryway of my home. Thank you Lia and team for everything you do to enable your members to learn new skills and excel at this craft.
We are so happy you are with us for this round!
I do have a query. I’ve been a member for a long time and have a lot of crepe paper. I did download an older version of your crepe paper template but I struggle with the colors. I find myself referring back to the packaging on your site (since I threw the packaging away). Is there a trick to determining the color of the crepe paper or a place to go where it is all in one place. I get easily confused between the greens especially. I will now store my paper the way you suggested, but I’m sending out an SOS to get organized first.
Oh, I totally get it! It took me a few years to remember which color is which, and sometimes I still miss one. Check out this post, where I added full photos of each swatch sheet. Let me know if that helps you.
Thanks, I will!
This video just fed into my soul! Thank you so much. I’m OCD organized, and there is so much value in this video for me (and I’m sure a ton just like me). I love that you think about the basics and give your members these perfect cheats/hacks/tips (I was giddy and actually said out loud “I own those lids from Ikea!) Nerd alert! So many sites that teach just assume that you have your own system in place and skip that basics. You’ve gone that extra mile and even provided labels and templates. I am always thinking WWLD (what would Lia do) HA HA. I’d love to see a pic of a setup workstation for this class.
This comment just fed my soul. Thank you, Lisa!
I had so much fun filming this segment and talking about my craft-geek ways. lol. We JUST moved into our final office though we are waiting for the final occupancy permits. Once we are all moved in, there will be more behind the scenes than ever. I am excited to share our new dream studio… just in time for our 10-year anniversary.
Thank is exciting and I’m so happy for you. I’m sure it’s been a long, traveled journey to get to this point in your career. You are amazing (personal idol) and I can’t wait for some behind the scenes. Those are always the best! I don’t know if you guys ever do tours (no worries, I don’t live close at all), but that would be a fun bucket list item!
We are opening our studio as a pop-up shop as well in the near future, so that is a yes. 😉
Thank you Lia for a wonderful beginning to what I know is another stellar Master Class!
You are welcome! So happy you are here!
Hi Lia,
I have all the colors of crepe, but some are EF. Would making a DS with the same color work okay when a flower calls for “heavy” crepe? I don’t have all the colors in the heavy.
Thanks
You can use what you have. I like the idea of sticking with the same type of crepe rather than using an extra-fine or double-sided in place of the heavy one, but maybe you can substitute colors instead. The great thing is that you can test and experiment along the way. 😉
Thank you
Thank you for the material list. It’s very helpful.
You are welcome! We are trying to make this course as organized and easy as possible. 😉
I’ve bought the $149 option to be able to see the lessons whenever I want. Do I just need to log in to get access
Hi Nancy! The class will launch on Monday, January 2. We will roll out all of the lessons throughout the month. After that you will have full access at any time.
Cant wait – soooo excited
I am too!!
WOW, this is really exciting. I’m really adapting to Crepe Paper. Thanks again Lia and your team . Tim
Oh my goodness. I think I set this up wrong, as you are not supposed to see this lesson quite yet. We have a video coming! lol
So happy to have you here Tim!
