I’m so excited today! Not only am I in LA to make my very first national television appearance on Hallmark Home and Family, I am also desperate to share some very exciting news from the Lia Griffith studio. You gorgeous people know how much I love paper. It’s where this all began for me, and designing and making with paper is my passion. So…… the team and I are preparing to launch our very own line of extra fine crepe papers, the like of which we haven’t seen on the US market before!

We have had such fun developing a range of high quality crepe papers made in Germany, in a color palette inspired by nature – think deep aubergine, soft blush and soothing green tea, crisp coral, dreamy chiffon and rich cranberry colors. Our aim with our new line of extra fine papers is to elevate crepe paper crafts from candy colored piñatas to elegant wedding crafts, home decor, party decorations and more! We’re on a mission to start a #CrepePaperRevival and you’re all invited. The pretty flowers pictured here were all made using our new crepe paper and I cannot wait to share video tutorials and patterns of each with you when we launch!
As well as 10 colors inspired by nature, the “Lia Griffith extra fine crepe paper” line also includes a collection of three printed metallics – perfect for creating this seasons on-trend crafts. Plus ten double-sided crepe papers, offering even more opportunity to create unique DIY projects. Finally, we have developed three stem tapes in white, gold and green which are perfect for making my signature paper flowers!
We will be launching our unique crepe paper line at the New York Stationery Show May 15th-18th (come see us at Booth #1311 if you’re there!) and the range will be available via Amazon.com from July 1. I will be sharing video tutorials and patterns for each of our brand new crepe paper flowers soon – so stay tuned and book mark our site so that you don’t miss out!
You can watch my episode on the Hallmark’s Home and Family show below and see some of my crepe paper creations – including my handmade crepe paper gown which made its way down to LA specially for the show!
Hugs to all of you who continue to enjoy our DIY projects, we love inspiring you to craft with us and are thrilled to share this wonderful journey with you. Love Lia xoxo

Hello,
I was wondering how many life size flowers you can make with one packet of your crepe paper?
Hi! It just depends– what flower are you making?
looking forward to trying your beautiful patterns for my niece’s wedding in April. while signing up for your newsletter, I attempted to put in coupon code, which said was to “expire soon”, but not expired yet. the website would not take the code. Just wondering if anyone else commented on this. Thanks and thank you for your beautiful patterns and videos.
Hi Peggy! If you could shoot us an email at hello@liagriffith we can help you resolve this issue. Thanks!
Hi Lia, I was unable to order from your site so I found the multi pack on Amazon. I love it!!!!!!!! Been making flowers all week. Can’t wait to order more!!
Thanks, Sue
That’s great! Happy to hear you’ve been hit with the crafting bug. 😉
Hi Lia! Any word on when your paper is being released?
Yes! Come here Monday and we will have ALL of the info. So exciting!
I can’t wait!! I plan on using this for my wedding bouquet in October. Its so beautiful!!
That’s great! Be sure to send us photos once it’s created 🙂
How exciting! I can’t wait to start ordering! I’m excited to see what colors you’ll be providing
Thank you so much for your support Iris!! There will be 26 colors in total: 10 floral and botanical colors, 10 double sided paper, 3 metallic colors, plus white, black, and brown 🙂
This is wonderful! My mom and I used to make crepe paper crafts when I was young. I can’t wait to show her. She was a wiz at crepe paper umbrellas for bridal and baby showers. Thank you!!!
So cute!! I hope you and your mom enjoy the new paper 🙂
So exciting!! I am curious- have you tried painting, printing or stamping on your papers? How do they take to those types of manipulation? (I kniw these are NOT common expectations for crepe)
I haven’t tried painting on my crepe, but it is something that has been on my radar! I will have to try it out and get back to you on that
With your help…I am decorating my daughters wedding. I am SO excited for your new line and patterns. July can’t come soon enough ❤️
This is so exciting Joyce!! Of course, you have to share pictures after you do your decorating 😉 I would love to see them!
Is this the paper that I worked with? Now that I’ve had more time and experience, it’s absolutely luxurious. Fine crepe has a mind all it’s own, but it knows better than I do!!! Can’t wait to try your doublette, too. Love the colors. I think I have every color known to woman and then–lightening stike! — Lia comes up with something new!!
xoxo
Susan
Yes it is! I am so glad you love it. My double sided crepe is the same brand that Castle in the Air carries, but new colors 🙂 Thanks for your sweet comment!
Castle in the Air is close to me, so I love to go there and shop–but you are way more fun!!! As many times I have been to the Castle, they still never recognize me..YIKES!–but it’s still fun–a crafter’s candy store!
Can’t wait for your new paper!!
xoxo

PS–do you have a tutorial for that David Austin rose? it’s lovely!!!
I will be posting a tutorial for the Juliet roses! The plan is to post the templates and tutorials for all these flowers leading up to the crepe being released on Amazon on July 1st 😉
I grew up just walking distance from the “flagship” David Austen Roses gardens in Shropshire England. The scent in the summer when the hundreds of heady roses are all in full bloom carries on the air across road and meadows in our village. Cannot wait for your tutorial!! Congratulations on your new venture Lia!
That sounds divine! How gorgeous that must have been. Thank you so much for your support Mia!
The Juliet Rose template is up on the site! https://liagriffith.com/crepe-paper-juliet-roses/

As a scrapbooker who designs for major manufacturers, and one that loves making her own flowers for her projects, I can’t wait to get my hands on the gorgeous crepe papers. The colors look totally divine!!! Thank you for creating such beautiful product. I will be checking back to see where I can purchase them. I will also be stalking Amazon!!

Thank you so much for your support Lisa!! I’ll be at the National Stationery Show this weekend, and the hope is to create relationships with plenty of retailers that want to stock the crepe at their stores 😉 Other than this, it will be available through Amazon July 1! I’ll also be posting plenty of updates leading up to then
I would love it if there was an eggplant color scheme!! That would be awesome
Yes!! There will be some deep purples in the crepe line 🙂 I’m calling them Aubergine and Sangria
I ended up making my bridal bouquet and those for my step-daughters out of crepe paper and love how they turned out – you know, once I got the learning curve down. I am seriously looking forward to expanding my repertoire beyond basic leaves and roses and your colors look heavenly. I’m a new follower and so happy to be one! Best of luck at the up coming show. I’m sure you will win many converts!
That’s so great to hear! We’d love to see photos (send to hello@liagriffith.com if you have any to share). So happy to have you here 🙂

Hello,
just wanted to comment.
love all your crepe paper creations.I had typed this rant about not being able to get crepe paper without ordering online.(then deleted when I finished reading your post)Will be checking out your line in July.maybe down the road it will be found at Michael’s and Joann’s. it’s weird to me with all the craft supplies that no one had made it more available sooner. Thanks
Thank you. We have also had a hard time finding amazing crepe paper, this line is manufactured in Germany and this is the first time it will be available on the US market. We are super excited!!! It is divine for flower making:-)
Yea! I am so excited to hear this news. I am an avid follower of your blog and have made many of the items showcased. I can’t wait for the opening in July. That is my birthday. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than to be able to take my flower making craft to the next level. I am marking the opening on my calendar! I will be your first customer. Thank you so much for sharing.
Yay! Happy July birthday!
I can’t wait until you start selling your crepe paper, I live in Michigan and it is really hard to find it here, all my flowers are smaller do to the size of crepe available here and to order it online is a nightmare
I agree! That is why I am so excited to be bringing this line to the US market.
Hello Lia,
Will you have a tutorial for that crepe bouquet at some point? If so you do know approximately when?
Yes of course;-) Be on the lookout in June.
What exciting news. The colors in the photos are outstanding. Looking forward to July 1st!
All the best to you and your team. Your hard work is paying off!
Thank you for your sweet comment!
Dear Lia,
you say that you developed high quality crepe papers made in Germany. The launch will be in May.
So I have an important question: Will your crepe paper be available in Germany too?
To start with it will be sold through Amazon UK but I really hope the stores in Germany will be picking up the line too:-)
Okay….thanks for your reply. Then I guess I have to stay patient. The paper looks so gorgeous! I would have loved to work with it. I really hope German stores will see it’s potential and pick up the line soon. ?
Hi, Love them! The flowers are beautiful. Do you have a sample pack of the papers so we can see the colors and textures available?
All the colors are in the bouquet:-) I don’t have final product here yet but will be for sale on Amazon soon.
Loved seeing you on HOME AND FAMILY
Thank you so much Charlotte!

I am SO excited! I am going to all over those garden roses for my wedding bouquet….July cannot get her soon enough!
I agree, hopefully sooner:-) When is your wedding? Would love to see pictures of your bouquet!
Our wedding is in December so we have plenty of time to play once everything comes out 🙂 We’ve started making the hydrangea, ranunculus, and dahlias – I will make sure to share when we get more done! When I tell people we’re making paper flowers they look nervous for me lol but when I show them the flowers they can’t believe they’re paper!
Wonderful!! I am sure that it will be gorgeous. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I hope you impress all of your guests with your crafting skills 😉
