The last few days I have been working on a photo shoot for a UK craft magazine. I designed and shot an article on gift wrap as well as this issue’s cover shot. Very exciting! It has been a fun project since gift wrapping is one of my passions. One of my props that I made for the shoot was this washi tape garland and when my Instagram photo of the garland got a lot of love yesterday, I decided to write a post about it. Why stop at the garland? How about decorating the whole party, in this case a mini party with washi tape flags? This is perfect for a spring celebration, a mini party or even a baby shower. Enjoy! ~ Lia

I gave my niece a washi tape kit for Christmas! Just sent her this link so she has more ideas! #washitapeaddiction
Nice! Yes. . . who would have thought we could become addicted to TAPE!! haha.
I’m a little behind as far as Washi tape is concerned. I love everything that you can do with it. Thinking that I should get started with some of these great ideas.
It is always fun to find ideas on how to use it. I have quite a few projects now. Maybe I will do a round up of my washi tape projects. 🙂
so cute! where do you purchase your washi tape from? some of the ones i’ve purchased in the past do not adhere too well.
I get it at a local shop here in Portland, and online at cutetape.com. Washi tape is not super sticky since it is a paper tape and originally made to put on paper. When I use it on something were I want it to stay (live covering a box or notebook cover) I finish it with mod podge. That solves the issues of non stick. For this project, since I fold it to put the sticky sides together, it stays in place!
So beautiful. I love all that you do it.
I from Spain an every morming I wait impatiently your post. Thanks.
Awww, thanks! I will try to be more on time. 🙂
Congrats, it looks soo cute and fun!! Great job!
