Marbled Gift TagsGorgeous Gift Tags for Any Occasion

After learning the basic technique of how to marble paper, you can open up so many gorgeous DIY possibilities with custom color palettes. We went with a gilded blue and green color combination, but we foresee new marbling projects with colors for every season! To start out with a more simple marbled paper project, we made these lovely gift tags that you can use for any occasion. Start by marbling your own paper, or simply print our PDF below to use these gorgeous marbled gift tags with calligraphy messages. A special thank you to our talented friend Paige, the genius behind HeyHalle, for the beautiful calligraphy work that she did for these tags!

Tools & Materials

  • Scissors
  • Hole Punch
  • Marbled Paper (either handmade or printed)
  • Gold Marker
  • Gold Cording

Steps

  1. Gather the tools and materials listed above.
  2. Use gold marker to add detailing to the marbled paper. Follow the swirls within the marbling, varying the thickness of your lines.
  3. Cut out the gift tags from the marbled paper, or cut the gift tag shapes from the download below.
  4. Attach matching cording to your tags.

Tips

Find our downloads below for a PDF and SVG version of the file. There are a few options with these. The easiest option is to print the pre-made marbled gift tags onto cardstock and trim. The PDF includes a set of blank tags and a set of tags with calligraphy messages. If you want to add some more gold detailing to the blank tags, we had good luck with Sharpie’s oil-based metallic marker. Whatever gold pen you use, make sure that it has a fine point for the best results.

Another option is to marble your own paper using our marbleized paper tutorial, then cut out the gift tags individually. Use the SVG file with your marbleized paper so that your machine can cut the tags for you! There are 4 gift tag shapes in our template, so choose which one works best for your gift.
