This Christmas morning I will have a small group of family at my house. Much different from the 21 I hosted at Thanksgiving. Our family tradition is to open gifts on Christmas eve and to serve an elegant breakfast or brunch on Christmas day. I am so lucky that this year Birch Lane invited me to design my table with their gorgeous place settings. Birch Lane is a new home furnishings line with fresh and traditional pieces at great prices.
As a lover of fresh fruit, I created my edible centerpiece using this hammered hors d’oeuvres server mixing in my DIY paper pine cones and fresh greenery. My egg cups are the birch bark napkin rings and the napkins are a mix of linen in pewter and cotton in plum. The juice glasses are these gorgeous gold swirl set that are my new favorite drinking glasses. Finally the table is set with a charming dotted dinnerware that includes the mugs, bowl, salad plate and dinner plate.
This looks so charming, don’t you think? I will be serving a mushroom and basil quiche (gluten-free of course) and home style potato and grilled vegetable hash along with the fresh fruit. I may even make a few pomegranate mimosas. Pull up a chair and let’s make a Christmas morning toast! Cheers! ~ Lia

I love the idea of using the napkin rings as egg cups! You have such a knack for design. I love viewing your blog and using your wonderful printables.
Thank you. I love those barkrings as egg cups:)
Looks like somebody just keep on giving, ideas that is. Happy Holidays!

a beautiful table perfect for Christmas morning. We are hosting Christmas eve brunch for our family. I love the egg cups on your table 🙂
hugs
Thanks Katherine! Love them too especially since they are napkin rings.
I do the same for about 25 friends on Christmas morning. My sister will be with us this year from Ohio, first time in 15 years so that will be special. I do a breakfast casserole, hubby does bacon and suasage on the grill, fresh fruit and biscuits and gravy. Ole Florida.
Merry Christmas.
