Steps
- Gather the tools and materials listed above.
- Score and cut your leaves out of kraft paper using a cutting machine (recommended). If not, print the pattern directly onto paper and cut it out with scissors or an X-Acto blade.
- Paint your leaves in desired colors using large, rough bristle brushes. Tips for painting multi-color leaves: brush on a medium tone color first, moving in one direction. Make sure that the brush isn’t too wet with paint by dabbing excess paint off on a scrap piece of paper first.
- Next, brush on a brighter, lighter tone of paint in a similar color.

Hi Patricia,
Everything look good on our end. Could you please send a screenshot of the error message you are seeing to hello@liagriffith.com so that we may better assist you. 🙂
The link for the Speckletone “Kraft” paper is not working – can you provide the exact details for which paper it is? There are so many Speckletone papers on their site. Thank you!
Yes, here’s their updated link for the French brand Speckletone Kraft paper: https://www.paperpapers.com/speckletone-kraft-8-5×11-paper-28-70lb-text-104gsm-50-pk-dfs.html
Hey dear, Thanks for sharing such great stuff. Really, your post has just blown my mind. Simply awesome and easy to understand every part of the post with amazing directions and images. I got good inspirations from your article and I will obviously try to make like yours with my kiddo.
Kind of a drag that we have to pay and join as a member for the leaf stencil. Doesn’t the advertising and promotions all over this page cover that cost? Beautiful work nonetheless! Thank you for the inspiration
