Paper Animal Gift Toppers or Tree Decorations
I will have to say that of all of the holiday goodies we are posting this year, this one is at the top of my favorites. I just love these little animals and can see them for gift toppers or to hang on your holiday tree. That penguin! The narwhal with a bow! Of course a fox needs a knitted hat for winter. The white silhouette shapes are perfect to write the name of the gift receiver though as you can see in the photos, I could not write on them myself. For this set of tags we are offering them below in both the SVG cut files for your personal cutter and the PDF printable template for hand cutting. The design is separated into two parts with the hats, scarfs and bows ready to add to your little friends. Â You can cut these from cardstock or even pretty metallic papers. Anyway you use them, they will be a hit! Cheers! ~ Lia & team

Could you let me know the name of wrapping papers of green and red?
This is an older post but I had bought rolls of plain colored wrapping paper from Paper Source 🙂
Doing the happy dance ~ found the files (my mistake)
Thank you so much for taking time out while you are away to help me. Such a caring person. xx
Yay!!!
…and the twine?
That is baker’s twine. You can find it at a craft store or look online. I get mine from The Twinery.
these are precious! I particularly love the narwhal!!
Thanks Annie! It is pretty darn cute. 🙂
I cut them out today and they are so darling. I will try the paper you mentioned, but I’m just not sure the best glue to use for them, and where to get the twine you used, which is adorable.
Thank you Lia!
For these you can use the roll on tape which is very flat and doesn’t get the paper wet. Or just a tiny flat dot of hot glue will work too.
I love these tags, and just purchased the svg file on Etsy. I’ve never used the svg files and have no idea how mush to resize the file once I get it into Design Space. I also don’t know what material to use for the animal accessories (scarfs, hats, etc.) Are the instructions posted anywhere?
BTW, I’m a new cricut owner and am asking you to please continue the svg files, I don’t have the patience or skill to cut out myself.
We cut our little animals around 3-5 inches each. It really is your choice on size. For paper you can use card stock or my favorite is the metallic papers I buy at paper-papers.com. I use a letter weight with the metallic papers but card stock is good too. Sorry, we did not do instructions. I guess we could have. Next time.
Merci tout plein pour toutes ces belles choses que je grapille à droite et à gauche !!!
Thank you so much
Lia I have been a follower of yours for over a year. And you have inspired me in so many ways. But I have to complain about something. I do not have a Cricut, can not afford one for quite awhile. I have been down loading your files both svg and other way. But come on go back to things we can do with out a cricut. You say we can cut them out our selves but really there is no way I can cut out your village, paper crowns, by hand. They would look like a preschool did them. Please go back to using patterns and scissors. I know you love your Cricut. But some of us don’t have one. I am sure alot of us don’t have one. Unless you have connection with Cricut and they can send me one free. It took me 3 years to get my Sizzix. Cricut will be alot longer.
Don’t be upset I really do admire you alot. I want my old Lia back
Hi Judi. I do hear you and I have had some of the same thoughts on lessening my Cricut project posts. I always post a PDF printable of the projects for those without a Cricut and some of my readers actually make them no matter the detail level. However. . . not many have that kind of time. The Cricut is a great tool and allows me to make more complicated projects, but simple is also lovely. I really appreciate your feedback and it made me laugh a little. . . we think alike. 😉
I don’t get my check tell next week, but when I get paid I want to buy some of those tags, they are so cute. thank you so much for sharing with us. GOD bless.
They are one of my favorites this season for sure!
so sweet! great idea Lia! here in italy we have 18 degrees Cel., so I miss a lot a real nice winter 😉
You should stop by, we had frost this morning:)
