Our DIY wedding decorations are such fun to make. We want to help make your wedding day a unique and personal one, and the best way to achieve that is to make it yourself! Todays project is this paper cut boxwood that can be used as part of your wedding decor to create a luscious, ‘fresh from the garden‘ look. We used two different shades of metallic papers from Paper-Papers (shop this project below), and glued each piece in layers along a length of twine for a natural look. Our fave uses for this sweet paper boxwood garland are to drape it around a simple wedding cake, string it to the backs of your chairs or hang longer lengths of it as a backdrop to the ceremony itself. You can also add it to some of our paper flower designs to make stunning wedding centerpieces. We think it would look just divine with our paper flower anemone, or our sweet paper succulents.
To make this paper boxwood garland, simply click on the SVG file below and print and cut on your cutting machine. If you want to cut by hand, download the PDF and use a sharp craft knife to trim the pattern. We like to score and gently fold the center of each leaf to give the foliage depth and dimension – it also helps the light bounce from that gorgeous metallic paper! Using a low temperature glue gun, attach the paper boxwood to a length of natural twine in layers -simple!

Lia…I have a bride that wants to use cricut lace cutout to wrap around the base of her buttercream wedding cake..Won’t the butter bleed through the paper?
Thanks
Debbie
Hi Debbie, we don’t have a lot of experience with cake decorating but I would suggest trying wafer paper as it is an edible paper and can be cut on the cricut!
what are the other cuts used for on the paper? Am I missing something?
Hi Patricia, the other lines in pink are score lines, not cuts 🙂
Can’t wait to see what you can do with crepe paper! It’s so hard to find though to purchase! Michaels doesn’t sell it. Staples will order it in for me. I bought a book to teach me how to make flowers but having a hard time learning through pictures,I need to be showen. Hoping you will teach me! Thanks Jo-Anne
It is fun to respond to your comment because. . . I am launching a line of crepe in May!! It will be available on Amazon at first and hopefully more places soon. There are different types of crepe and not all are the same. The crepe from China is thin and has little stretch so is not so good for flowers. The Italian crepe is lovely but is thicker and a bit expensive. I will be offering a German made crepe that is perfect for flowers and we are going to be doing a video series on crepe paper flower making. You can also look in my video library and find the 5 videos I did for the Italian crepe paper company and CarteFini.com. Does that help?
