One of the most common questions I have received since starting this website is what kind of printer I use. I’ve been in this business for a while, and I have used all kinds of printers. For me, printers make all the difference in turning a simple design into a polished and professional looking DIY project that you can feel proud about incorporating into your home decor or special event planning. I can be a very particular person (as all designers can be!), and it is very important to me to use a printer that can make my designs come to life exactly in the way that I envision them. Now when people ask me what kind of home printing brand I rely on most, I always say Canon.
I fell in love with my Canon Crafting Printer as soon as I got it! The quality of print is outstanding and I have been having such fun using it for our printable invitations, greetings cards, labels and more. It’s the perfect printer for those who like to create at home because it’s fast, reliable and produces a great quality print every time. You can see why I love it so much!
The Canon PIXMA iP8720 Crafting Printer is the best printer for creating new printable art for my home – which I like to do regularly! What better way to update your home decor than to download and print something gorgeous for your walls? I like to hang unique art in my home so being able to edit pieces on my computer, then print when I’m ready, is just perfect for me. It also means I can create personalized pieces of art for friends and loved ones, which is something I adore doing!
This pretty LOVE art print was created using my Canon crafting printer and a selection of paper cut foliage. Rose gold is one of my favorite trendy colors, and I can’t believe how well the PIXMA was able to print this gorgeously rich hue onto a regular white background. You can create this piece at home in an afternoon too! Download the glitter LOVE print below and print onto 12 x 12″ card stock – yes, the PIXMA iP8720 allows you to print on 12 x 12″ paper! You can also find the pattern for that beautiful paper cut foliage below. Click on the PDF to cut by hand or click on the SVG if you have a cutting machine. Once you have your print and foliage, simply mount the print and use a low temperature glue gun to attach the foliage around the edge. Don’t stick the foliage down entirely, just glue the bottom of each piece and allow the ends to hang free for a pretty, 3D effect. Enjoy! ~ Lia
