Hi Lia! Loving the Halloween stuff. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Just out of curiosity, how do you clean your Cricut mats and keep them functional? I’ve seen other websites showing how they remove the old goo and replace it with a new layer of adhesive. However, I know that doing that voids the warranty if something were to happen to the machine. Those mats are not cheap. Seems like there would be a way to make them last without voiding the warranty, and creating so much waste. Same with the blades. Do you have your resharpened or do you replace them? Would greatly appreciate your advice on this.
Hi Angela! Sometimes I’ll use a light spray adhesive to re-stick, which works for a short time. Cricut Customer Service instructed us to rub the mat vigorously with the scraper tool (or a spoon or back of a butter knife, something with a dull edge) to re-activate the adhesive. It seems to work on my mats that aren’t too far gone! As far as blades go, we always replace them and haven’t tried to sharpen.
