- Cut the paper pieces out by hand or print out the template and cut by hand with an X-Acto blade.
- Use spray adhesive or a glue dot roller to attach the glitter layer to the back of the white. Glue together the rainbow and cloud.
- Cut yarn pieces about 8″ long. Fold them in half and thread into the hole from the back. Pull the ends through the loop and pull. Repeat for the rest of the mane (we did two strands of yarn for the tail).
- Carefully unravel the yarn strands for a wavy look. Trim the hair if you want.
- Write a message for your magical Valentine!

I received the Cutting Machine Crafts and this was one of the projects included. I opened the file and it’s in pdf form. I thought it was supposed to be SVG. And I don’t see a tutorial on how to use the pdf
There is a PDF as well as an SVG (look for the file named 13_UnicornsAndRainbows_Garland.svg).
So CUTE! My 4yo granddaughter is going to love ‘lacing’ these with pink hair!!!
So cute!!
once I have downloaded these with a mac, and opened on the silhouette design studio, the pieces are solid. I was hoping with a membership I would not have to dissect this file. Now I will spend more time editing this than actually getting to have my little one help assemble.
Hi Megan, I’m sorry to hear this! Our files should work with a Silhouette so I’m not sure why you’d have to dissect it? Regardless I’m sorry for the extra trouble.
Simply “Ungroup” Megan. Then move the pieces apart.
My computer will not open this as an SVG file, any ideas? I am using a Mac.
The file will download as a zipped folder. On a Mac, simply double-click the zipped folder to extract the SVG file, which can then be uploaded to Design Space. I hope that helps!
