This felt cardinal ornament is a great craft project for beginners. And it's simple enough for kids to help with too. Our tutorial will show you how to use pom-pom makers to assemble the main body and then glue your felt pieces on to finish the look.
Once you're done, just tie on a bit of gold embroidery floss and make a whole flock of them as ornaments for your holiday tree. We can't wait to see your version! How to Make a Pom-Pom Cardinal Ornament

Thank you for including birds. People in my region are obsessed with the red Cardinal
Perfect! I LOVE almost any kind of bird so I can see us making more varieties.
Such cute ornaments! I know you often provide links to Michael’s and it so happens that Michael’s has the same brand of yarn as what you linked to Amazon. Only… it’s $5.99 at Michael’s not $8.49 at Amazon.
That is interesting because the link to Amazon shows me $5.99 for the yarn and that includes shipping for Prime. Does Michaels charge for shipping?
how big is the finished size? thanks Patricia
They are about 2 inches wide and 4 inches from tip to tail. Plus or minus a bit for each.
