First things first, congratulations to all the newly engaged couples out there! After you host your engagement party and the exciting news of being engaged begins to spread, the chaos of planning a wedding starts to set in. Not to worry! We have everything you will need to plan your own beautiful and personalized DIY wedding. After you choose your wedding date and create your guest list, you will need to send out Save the Date cards. Because you won’t want your guests forgetting the big day, we decided to design Save the Date magnets that they can stick right onto their refrigerators as a daily reminder of the momentous occasion.

Start by downloading and installing the free fonts Majesti and Transatlantic Cruise onto your computer. You will not be able to edit the text without them! Everything in the template is editable except for the “Save the Date” header and the “invitation to follow” footer. The file includes 4 cards per sheet, with a trendy teal watercolor background.  We also added a PDF with a white background just in case teal isn’t your color! 😉 If you want to reduce the size of the Save the Date magnets, you can always resize the PDF.

If you are worried that it will be expensive to print these magnets, fear not! We simply bought some Avery brand 8.5 x 11″ magnet paper that we found on Amazon (see Shop this Project below) and loaded it into our regular inkjet PIXMA MG7720 Canon printer! After you finish printing, trim the magnets using a paper cutter to be precise. The trimmed magnets fit into an A2 sized envelope, which you can also conveniently find on Amazon.

Save the Date magnets are just the beginning. Looking for more wedding planning inspiration? Browse our entire wedding section full of paper goods and DIY decoration ideas!
