In updating my main floor bathroom, I wanted to add a bit more personal touch and found an easy and elegant way with monogramming my new hand towels. The fibers on these towels are fine and low pile which makes a perfect canvas for an easy iron-on monogram. I cut my monograms from a glittery gold material I purchased from Cricut. LOVE this material and have used the gold and teal for a number of projects. I did use my Explore, but these can also be cut carefully by hand. Once cut, the initials are simple to attach with an iron and thin cotton cloth. These pretty monogrammed towels are not only great for my own bathroom, but are an idea for a personalized housewarming, hostess or birthday gift. You can find the download for the printable template (resize print to fit your towel) and the SVG cut files. Enjoy! ~ Lia

These are beautiful! Love the gold color. Interested to know if they held up without being sewn on as well as ironed on?
Thank you!! The should hold up without having to sew them. I’ve only washed them a few times but they still look great 🙂

So elegant and lovely idea – perfect timing too, my friend’s daughter is moving into her first flat today – so guess what “house warming” present she is getting – LOL

Simply stunning! Thanks for the inspiration, Lia! I noticed that Cricut was out of stock of the gold glitter iron on. When it’s back in stock,I’m going to be making these for my bathrooms. I always look forward to your posts! You are so creative!Thank you!

Done, thank you for everything!!!
New reader here. I love all of your ideas and used several of your Christmas tags and thank you cards. So thanks for that! Question: doesn the iron on material wash well? I’ve used iron on material before and it came off in one wash. Any tips? Thanks!
Yes it does wash well, you do however need to be a bit careful. Make sure it is ironed on very well and don’t tumble dry.
