Sweet Little Treat Bags to Make
A few weeks ago I received a package from Martha Stewart Crafts with a brand new border paper punch for me to try out for our 12 Months of Martha project that is available on HSN and in Michaels stores on September 7. How fun is this? The punch has the ability to cut both windows and borders to frame photos or art and to make these adorable little cookie bags. These would be so cute for party favors or little gift bags at a baby shower. I have included the printable template of this bag for you as well as the polka-dot print. I printed the template on one side of the paper and the pattern on the other using the template side as the inside of the bag. There is a circle guide for you to punch the window opening of the bag. Enjoy! ~ Lia

brilliant idea of yours to use punches to make those bags just lovely and prettier. thank you for the sharing and the free template;-D
Thank you, enjoy!
Hola me encantan tus trabajos por favor me puedes ayudar con la plantilla de la bolsita esta preciosa y me puedes indicar donde comprar el troquel gracias mi correo es tefi_1957@hotmail.com saludos desde Ecuador
You can download the template for this and do a simple circle punch for the opening if you do not have the other lace punch. You may want to contact someone at Martha Stewart to find out where this can be purchased there in Equador as I don’t have that information.
thanks for your email Lia, just tried again and this time it allowed me to pin it! Previously I guess it was a browser error because when I clicked to print and download it there was a Pinterest symbol exactly over the ‘click download and print’ button (see other comment by Rhandi D) and I was unable to download (I use Safari). This isn’t there now and I’ve pinned it 🙂
Thanks again for the beautiful bag and for all the other downloads you so very kindly provide. You are so fabulously creative!
Oh good!!
Lia, thank you so much for this template! My sister and I like to make crafty things for our family gatherings, so these bags will be great for any occasion or holiday, and between the two of us it shouldn’t be that hard to figure out how to use the punch. Oh, and the polka dot paper is adorable! : )
Hi Cathy! Hope you and your sister have fun making the bags, and I am sure you will have no problem figuring out how to use the punch 🙂
I can’t seem to get the downloadd and print button to work. It wants to post to pinterest. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
Hi Rhandi. Strange, maybe try with a different internet browser. Let me know!
oops! forgot to add: when I download it and try to save it > open it in PDF it says nothing is in the file… I can only see the template and pattern when I click on the link on your web page
Not sure why. I just tested and it looked good to me. Maybe it had not fully downloaded?
hi Lia
love the bag, thank you! Would like to pin it onto Pinterest but it says the image provided is too small 🙁 (the image is not of the bag but of the banner with treat bag pattern and print on it. Thought you might like to be aware?
I think you may have a browser error. I tested all of the photos and they look fine. The photos are all 560 pixels wide which is plenty large and the links are to the correct photos.
Tes sachets cadeaux sont vraiment superbes!…
Merci pour le partageBonne journée
VERY CUTE Treat Bag, Lia! I recently purchased this MS punch set on HSN and started playing with it last weekend. Overall, it’s pretty cool but in the beginning, I found that there’s a bit of a learning curve in getting it lined up properly. Took quite a bit of practice compared to other MS border punches — a video tutorial from MS would be helpful since these punches are so unique. The MS printed instructions weren’t very helpful so I just played around with it myself and finally had an “Ah Ha” moment of clarity on how to use them…now it’s great! My HSN bundle not only came w/ the pretty Eyelet Flower punch cartridge you’re showing with this project, but it also came with the pretty Daisy Petals punch cartridge and the Royal Heart punch cartridge and a bunch of other embellishments & cling stamps! A GREAT deal getting the bundle through HSN before any other retailer in the country is even selling it. So now I’m a frame border punching maniac! THANK YOU for creating this cute Treat Bag project for the punches — can’t wait to try it. Please create more projects for using these frame punches, Lia!
Thanks Donna! Yes, it took some practice to figure it out how to make it work. I do think there will be a video for this punch soon from the MS Craft group. Enjoy your punches and let me know what kind of things you make!
