We love our Cricut Explore cutting machine for the fact that it makes projects like these DIY Pumpkins so super-simple! We picked up these craft pumpkins at Michaels recently and after designing our haunting little quotes it was just a matter of trimming them using our cutting machine and a roll of gold and white vinyl. Our “Trick or Treat Yoself” quote references one of our favorite TV shows – a quote we like to throw around the studio often! And our “Happy Haunting” quote is there to welcome your trick-or-treaters with a smile. If you have a cutting machine simply click on the SVG file below. If you want to cut this pattern by hand we have also included a PDF so you can print the template and cut it out on vinyl using a craft knife.
If you like our jumbo Mr. Paper Bones skeleton then pop back next week for the pattern. In the meantime you might like his tiny paper cousin! Check out our Halloween section for more spooktacularly good DIY Halloween projects and inspiration. See you there! ~ Lia

Any tips on applying the vinyl to the pumpkin?
Use transfer tape, and just go slow! If the word is too long or starting to bubble, you can cut up the word (for example, apply T-R first, then I-C-K).
