Water You Waiting For?

Make a splash with this DIY project while honing your new embroidery skills. We chose our wool blend felt in the color Night to give you a bold background. The deep, inky hue perfectly compliments the curving aquatic outlines embroidered in lighter shades of blue. Once complete, hang it up for a very cool addition to your wall decor. 

While this project requires some basic embroidery know-how, we still wanted it to beginner-friendly and approachable. We suggest printing out the water pattern on Sticky Fabri-Solvy and affixing it to your felt. You can then embroider the pattern right over the design for a flawless finish. Once you’re done, you can rinse the template away with warm water and give yourself a little pat on the back for a job well done.

We love the contrast of light on dark, but I think this design would be just as striking with dark embroidered lines over a light-colored background. Can’t decide? Make them both!
