We love an easy DIY project! For this month’s craft collection, we took Krista’s bandana-inspired design and transferred it to a throw pillow cover. And the result is this gorgeous western floral pillow!

Due to the intricate and detailed design, we recommend using a cutting machine for this project. Or you can always use our printable template instead.

Home on the range

This western floral pillow makes such pretty home decor — whether you use it on your bed, couch, or even outdoors on a patio chair. Using our pattern below, you can make as many pillow covers as you need and in whatever colors you want. If you’d like, you can also use the design elsewhere, like for a tote bag or decorative tray.

However you use this design, we’d love to see it! Feel free to post photos over on our community page or share them on Instagram with the hashtag #MadeWithLia.

Crafting tips: Fold the pillow cover into quarters and mark the middle. Cut out the stem and leaf part of the design onto one 12″x12″ sheet a vinyl, centering it on the pillow. Then to save on vinyl waste, cut out the flower parts individually, and then hand match up all the pieces on the the design that is already ironed on.

Download and cut our SVG file below using your cutting machine. Then follow the instructions on your heat transfer vinyl to iron on the design. Remember to iron on the vinyl one color (layer) at a time, always using a press cloth to protect the vinyl. If you’d like to reduce vinyl waste, make sure to read our crafting tip above!
