These woodland valentines would be so cute for kids to give to their classmates. Or you may even want to craft them for your kids along with some cute, little candy poppers or these paper heart treat boxes. Another fun project idea is making your own play mailbox to store all their valentines in.
When you are ready to make your woodland valentines, just follow our four instructions below. Easy peasy!
Instructions
- If cutting by hand, print the PDF on white cardstock paper, or use the print-then-cut SVG file if you are using a Cricut cutting machine.
- Cut out the back layer from cardstock color of your choice.
- Punch a small hole at the top, then combine the two layers and hold with a mini brad.
- Write your Valentine’s Day greeting on the back layer.

I downloaded the SVG twice, and I am not getting anything other than the hearts
Hi Gina! This is a layered design — the SVG file is just the hearts and the Print-Then-Cut jpeg file includes the hearts with the woodland animals. If you’re using a Cricut, you can use the print-then-cut feature to make these.
Im looking for a good new printer, and love how your work looks ! Could you please share what printer you use.
My actual printer don’t look as good as your finished projects haha and I would love the same results 😀
Thanks a million in advance !!
We uses Canon inkjet printers! This project specifically was printer on a Canon Pixma TS6420. We also love the Crafter’s printer but it’s out of stock.
I am new to all this and do not understand how to use a print and cut file. I got as far as printing all the pictures on my printer but how do I cut them on my cricut?
Do a search on YouTube on how to do a Print then Cut. There are many good ones out there. You have to print through your Cricut which will add marks for cutting. It is a great tool to have in your crafty toolbelt!
