Felt Succulent Tutorial – Part 2
In case you missed it, last week I shared our felt succulent vertical garden and this is part two of my felt succulent tutorial. I wanted to make a piece of wall art for the yard and after the success of my paper succulents, it seemed the next step to experiment in felt. What do you think? Success, right?

My tips for success when making these felt succulents would be to use a good quality wool or wool blend felt, use sharp fabric scissors to cut and use a low temp glue gun to construct the felt flowers.
These felt succulents are great for lots of different craft projects – maybe think about turning one into a boutonniere or a brooch. They also make great gift toppers, or look gorgeous in small glass jars with pebbles and a little moss. As always I encourage you to be inspired and get creative! See below for the next three tutorials for making your own felt succulent and however you choose to use them, have fun! ~ Lia & Team

These are beautiful! I linked to these in my round up on making felt succulents! Thanks for the great tips!
Making these in preparation for Christmas DIY gifts!
Thanks for the commenter above for asking about pinching each leaf individually- will do that on my next one!
For the large green succulent, after gluing/pinching each layer, do you then stack the layers glue-side up or glue-side down? I did my first trial run with them glue-side up, but wasn’t sure if you intended the pinching to sweep up or curve down.
Thanks!
Hi Pam! What a great gift 🙂 Stack them glue-side up so the pinched parts face up. Have fun 🙂
Would you be able to explain in a little more detail or pictures about how you “pinch” the center of the leaves for the larger succulent? Do you dot the glue in the center and then “fold/pinch” each individual leaf to create your center of is there another technique? Thanks for the additional help!!
Yes, I do add a dab of glue to pinch the center of each leaf, just at the base of the leaf. Hope that helps! Happy crafting:-)
Beautiful! Thanks for the printable.
Thank you:-)
love these! would you share where you got your felt online?
There are so great sources online. We like Benzie Design and Felt on the Fly.
