Paper Foil Medallions for Your New Year’s Celebration

Gift Wrap Medallions Can you believe it is almost time to celebrate 2014? One of my favorite decorations for my New Year’s Eve parties are these super simple paper medallion stars made from foil gift wrap. They make a huge impact and you can create them large, huge or small. This little DIY project is a perfect one to make and reuse year after year since they fold down and pack so nicely. Go get your leftover holiday wrap and follow my tutorial below to make these stunning stars! More New Year’s printables and tutorials coming your way. Cheers! ~ Lia

  1. Each year, the Executive mansion in Springfield, Illinois invites various State Historic sites to decorate a Christmas tree to depict their site. This year I am presenting a biography of Carl Sandburg, and will be hanging these medallions from the branches of chandelier in the library. Carl’s and Lilian’s love letters will be on the backs of the metallic paper medallions, with paper mistletoe hanging from the center. Thanks for the inspiration!
