Felt Mushrooms
A Medley of Mushrooms
Stitch up a medley of felt mushrooms in soft, woodsy colors and watch a little fairy-tale world take shape.
These felt mushrooms are a beginner-friendly project. Our pattern includes three different mushroom shapes, ready to make in any colors you like.
Tuck them into a felt play garden. Set them in a woodland nursery. Or gather them in a basket for a shelf that feels like a story.
To get started, download the pattern below and follow the step-by-step tutorial. We have listed every tool and material we used, so you can gather your supplies before you sit down to craft.

Mushrooms have a way of charming everyone.
They show up in storybooks and cottage gardens, on cozy sweaters and woodland nurseries.
So why not stitch a few of your own?
This is a wonderful project for anyone just starting out with felt.
You will work with two foundational stitches and a handful of small pieces, which makes it a friendly place to build your hand-stitching confidence before moving on to bigger felt makes.
Our printable template and cutting machine file include three different mushrooms, ready to make in whatever colors you like.
Cut every piece by hand with a pair of detail scissors for a clean, precise edge.
Prefer to use your cutting machine? We have included an SVG cut file for your Cricut Maker or Silhouette Cameo.
Once you have finished your felt mushrooms, share them with us.
Post your photos in our crafters' community or use the hashtag #MadeWithLia on Instagram.
Want a sweet basket to display them in? Make your own basket out of a grocery bag.

Love these! Turned them into ornaments for a little tree representing our nature center. Added felt birds and insects. It was a hit!
I am a beginner but managed the project well. Thanks for great instructions.
