Lia,
I have watched a few VIDEOS on making crepe paper anemones. The leaf pattern is not the same as the one in the picture. (Where 3 would be cut out of folded paper.) Where would I be able to get that leaf pattern?
Thank you. I have made some paper flowers with a friend (a non crafting friend). We made the spider mum and cosmos flowers. I may have made her a crafter!
Thank you for your help.
Dottie
Hello Dottie! Correct, the leaf pattern used for this project is made from frosted paper. There are a few leaf options in other anemone projects we’ve done: https://liagriffith.com/crepe-paper-anemone-flowers-video/, https://liagriffith.com/favorite-crepe-anemone-flower/. So glad to hear you’ve turned your friend onto crafting!!
Can I use extra fine crepe paper for this flower? Would like to use paper I have on hand.
Thanks,
Nancy
Yes you can!
Hi Lia, I would like to try this on my cricut maker, which mat do you suggest would be the best to use with crepe paper and any tips on removing them from the mat not to curl them too much? I would hate to waste my very hard to get Lia Griffith crepe paper!
Hello! When we cut crepe on the Maker, we use the pink Fabric-grip mat. The best way to remove the crepe is actually pulling the mat away from the crepe, and holding the crepe taut so it doesn’t move too much. You can also use your scraper tool to gently remove it from the mat. Hope that helps!
Thank you for the answer Lia, I’m totally surprised! I was expecting you would say the blue mat… good thing I checked. Very helpful, cheers.
Hi; Lia! Where can I get the 3/4 inch foam balls? I tried every resource I can think of but the smallest I could find is little under an inch.
We’ve found this brand at Michaels but they’re also on Amazon!
Do I use my Silhouette Cameo for this or do I have to have a Cricut?
Hi! You can use a Silhouette but will need to convert our SVG files to work with the Silhouette software.
Thank you Lia! 🙂
