We are all about sharing unique gift wrapping ideas here at Lia Griffith HQ and this pretty canvas tote is a great option for those looking for something a little different. What better way to give a gift than in a DIY tote that can be reused through the Holidays? This design is can be cut on a Cricut cutting machine or printed in a variety of colors onto clear printable iron-on. If you have a cutting machine, click on the SVG file below and cut each layer of the design onto your chosen iron-on vinyl. Remember to mirror the image for iron-on before you cut! Once you have weeded out the pieces you don’t need you can press the design onto a blank canvas tote for 5 or 6 minutes with a hot iron. Next print and cut the single tree onto a contrasting color of iron-on vinyl then place this onto the tote in the center of the design. Press with a hot iron in the same way you did the large design and you are all set! There are lots of gorgeous colors of iron-on vinyl out there in craft stores and online so feel free to get creative with your color choices!
If you don’t have a cutting machine then you can use the PDF below with clear printable iron-on vinyl. Our PDF includes this design in salmon pink with a bright red center tree, teal with a lime green tree and grey with a vivid green tree – all are equally gorgeous! Follow the instructions for using iron-on vinyl to set the design onto the tote – our tip would be to press with a hot iron until the top layer of plastic begins to crinkle! Canvas totes can be found easily online or in craft stores so you could make a few of these and make this your craftiest Christmas yet!
