If you’re looking to begin your paper petal journey or simply want to add to your existing collection, then this intermediate Cardstock Coneflower is a great place to start. As with many of our papercraft projects, a cutting machine is going to be a big help, but if you prefer to give it a go by hand — we support you — just be sure to use a sharp pair of detail scissors.
In addition to being incredibly pretty, coneflowers are very well-known in the world of traditional medicine. However, you might know them by their more common name — echinacea. This member of the daisy family has been used to treat ailments such as the common cold and has been a popular ingredient in herbal remedies for centuries. While our Cardstock Coneflower may not help with your sniffles, it’ll certainly perk up your bedside.
We love the realistic look of these Cardstock Coneflowers. When complete, these sweet wildflowers look freshly picked from the prairie and ready to bring some rustic charm to your mantle, kitchen window, or summer arrangements. However you choose to display them, be sure to enjoy the process. There’s a quiet magic in watching it all flow together, so remember to be present for each cut and curl.
As with all of our projects, we’re so excited to see how you’ve transformed them. Once you’re finished with your Cardstock Coneflower, upload your pictures into our crafters’ community so we can admire your handiwork together. Also, remember to tag us on social with #MadeWithLia. Happy Crafting!

The materials list doesn’t specify the color of the PanPastel on the petals? Maybe Magenta?
It is Orange. Check the linked list in the right-hand column. 🙂
I don’t see where the orange Pan Pastel is used. Is it used on the brown cardstock? Always have loved this flower. It draws a lot of bees to my flower garden.
The orange is used to dust the top of the brown stamen!
Can’t wait to make these. So cute. What are the light green leaves in the picture called?
Those are Goldcraft Smokebush leaves. They are from the Paper Flower Master Class. You can find that in the Craft Academy. https://liagriffith.com/craft-academy/tracks/crepe-paper-flowers-master-class/
We also have a burgundy version made from heavy crepe here: https://liagriffith.com/crepe-paper-smoke-bush-stems/
