Ready to make your favorite fall foods and drinks? These clay rope trivets are the perfect place to rest your hot pots or tea kettles on. And they look pretty, too, so you’ll want to leave them on your counters as kitchen decor.
To help you learn how to make them, we’ve created a video tutorial for you to follow along.
Rest up this fall
Like many of our clay crafts, there’s no template for these clay rope trivets, but our video tutorial will show you how to roll and shape your clay. You can also make different sizes of trivets, depending on what you want to use them for.
To match our color palette for fall, we used our favorite air-hardening clay in terra cotta. But you can always use any color of clay you like. Just be sure to share photos of your final version with us on our Facebook page or members or by tagging #MadeWithLia on Instagram!

Crafting tips: If your clay is becoming dry while working, add a little water to it using the sponge. You can also use the sponge to smooth out any bumps or finger prints.
